Today we celebrated another successful school year at our end-of-year luncheon, but this year’s celebration was bittersweet as we honored the retirement of Melissa Wilson after 28+ years in education.

Melissa has touched the lives of countless students, families, and coworkers throughout her career. Her dedication, compassion, and commitment to children have made a lasting impact that will not be forgotten. She has been an incredible part of the Elizabeth team, and she will truly be missed.

While we are sad to see her leave education, we are so excited for this next chapter in her life — opening her new shop in town and having more time to travel and enjoy life’s adventures.

Congratulations, Melissa, on an amazing career and well-deserved retirement! Thank you for the difference you have made in so many lives. Wishing you endless happiness and success in this exciting new journey!

Even though the weather wasn’t the best, we had a wonderful Field Day! Our kindergarten through second grade students enjoyed participating outside and made the best of the passing showers. Third through fifth grade students had a great time taking part in activities in the gym. Fun was had by all, and we loved seeing so many smiles throughout the day! Check out the pictures.

URGENT: Grades 3-5 FIELD DAY CHANGES

Parents and families, due to the continued rain and wet field conditions, we will unfortunately need to cancel Field Day for our third-, fourth-, and fifth-grade students. The safety of our students is our top priority, and we want to avoid any injuries caused by slippery or muddy conditions.

Students will still enjoy fun indoor activities during their special area times, and we will share pictures on ClassDojo and Facebook so families can see the excitement!

Please note that, due to limited space in the gym with an entire grade level participating, families will not be able to attend the indoor activities.

Food trucks will remain on-site until 1:00 p.m. for any families who would still like to stop by and purchase lunch on the field.

FIELD DAY ANNOUNCEMENT!!!!!

In an effort to allow things to dry a little after the overnight rain, we will be pushing K-2 field day’s start time from 8:30 am to 9:00 am.

Field day for grades 3-5 will remain the same.

The past 2 days have been so much fun for our Panthers! 🐾

We celebrated awesome behavior with PBIS Reward trips to the Ruby Hunt YMCA and Boiling Springs Park. We also celebrated great attendance and behavior with a trip to Cleveland Community College to watch a movie. 🍿🎬
