At Come Home Collective, our mission is to support educators in building learning environments where Emotional Intelligence (EI) is at the foundation.
While many educators recognize the value of EI skills, there's often a gap in understanding how to make that a reality in the classroom. That’s where our “Build & Embody” process comes in. We’re dedicated to equipping educators with the skillset, tools, and resources to integrate EI into every aspect of their teaching, creating spaces where students are supported holistically.
Through this approach, we help educators not only develop their own EI but also transform their learning environments to foster growth, connection, and resilience among students.
If you’re ready to bring EI skills into your school, teachers, and students’ lives, reach out to us! Let’s work together to build learning environments that embody emotional intelligence and supports students in developing the skillsets to thrive personally & professionally.

When it comes to integrating Emotional Intelligence (EI) into schools and classrooms, the first question I'm often asked is, "What resources can we put directly into the hands of students?"
While that’s certainly part of the equation, it’s not where our focus lies. Our focus is on the adults—the teachers, leaders, and mentors guiding students every day. Through our experience training and working alongside Yale’s RULER approach, we’ve learned that the most effective and sustainable way to build emotionally intelligent learning environments is through training, coaching, and supporting the adults who shape those spaces, first.
When adults embody and model EI, it naturally flows into every interaction, lesson, and experience for students. It’s about creating an environment where EI isn't just taught, but lived and felt across the school community.
If you believe, like we do, that the true impact on students happens through empowering the adults around them, let’s connect. We’d love to discuss how we can support your journey toward an emotionally intelligent learning environment.

Episode 1 of Building Come Home Collective is Out Now!
"More Than a Curriculum: Shifting the Lens on Emotional Intelligence"
In this first episode, I dive deep into how most people interact with curriculums—checking off boxes and assuming mastery. But when it comes to emotional intelligence, this traditional approach falls short.
Join me as I unpack a powerful reframe on EI, exploring why it's so much more than just a curriculum that lives on the sidelines. EI is a transformative way of operating, educating, and learning that integrates itself into the core of your educational environment. Throughout the episode, I reflect on key conversations from the past week and reveal glaring opportunities to revolutionize how we approach EI in education.
If you're ready to move beyond the start-stop mindset and embrace a deeper, ongoing transformation in leadership and teaching, you won’t want to miss this episode!

The Future of U.S. Education Is Rooted in Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)
A recent nationwide report conducted by Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL) & RAND Corporation highlights the increasing adoption of Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) programs across K-12 schools. With 83% of U.S. schools implementing SEL curricula—up from 76% just two years ago—the focus on mental wellness, emotional growth, and student relationships has never been stronger.
Here are the key findings:
-Supportive state policies directly correlate with higher SEL implementation rates.
-Teachers who use SEL report more positive school climates and stronger student engagement.
-However, lack of time, funding, and teacher training remain significant barriers to implementation.
Come Home is here to help. We provide Professional Learning (PL) support for schools around SEL development and implementation. Reach out to us to grow SEL in your school environment and classrooms.
This is a call to action for policymakers and educators—to continue prioritizing SEL in education to ensure that our students not only succeed academically but thrive emotionally.

Social and Emotional Learning in U.S. Schools
Nearly all U.S. states have policies that support SEL in schools. But legislators in nine states have proposed bills to prohibit or inhibit SEL instruction in K–12 schools. Do state policymakers' SEL-related policies connect to schools' on-the-ground decisions and implementation?
