🪘 It’s almost Give 8/28! 🪘

On August 28th, we’re joining a national day of giving to support Black-led organizations - and we’re asking our community to stand behind the Charlotte African Drum and Dance Collective (CADDC).
CADDC creates an inclusive home for anyone who loves African drumming, dance, and culture, offering affordable West African dance classes and drum workshops while opening the door wider for communities of color and folks with roots in the African diaspora.

Right now, CADDC is raising funds to send youth on a cultural journey to Ghana - a trip that will connect the next generation directly to the traditions they’re learning here in Charlotte. We’re at $1,000 of our $5,000 goal, and every gift gets us closer.

Give at any level that speaks to you: Asante, Ubuntu, Sankofa, Umoja, or Ujima - from $25 to $1,000.

It’s back to school time!!!
What have you been doing all summer? Have you met your movement goals? Well regardless of how much you have or have not done join us this Sunday at TDC for a dedicated youth class and a comm class. This is a great opportunity to start the schh year off engaged in cultural activity that has a proven ability to both physically and mentally enrich you. Let the children come on out and work off some energy so they get a good night sleep before the school week starts. They will learn a mixture of vocabulary, mathematics, geometry and history all rolled into one class. And adults we will give you a taste of this as well. 😉 We love what we do and live sharing it with you. Bring a friend and join us. No prior dance lessons needed. See you soon!!!
