The hardest thing for a single parent to understand is how another human being can reject their own child!
We get NO DAYS OFF!
We DON'T get to reject the absent parent because they bruise our ego!
But if we insult them...they come out swinging or even better...we are the problem.
Make it make sense!?!?!

In the background, I've been struggling with my message for you! I keep going back to the drawing board to figure out the BEST way to help my audience!
I want to be AUTHENTIC and HELPFUL at the same time!! Sometimes that is harder than you think!
In spite of that...I wouldn't be a good single mom if I didn't support my tribe...so... HAPPY SINGLE PARENTS DAY!!'

Happy International women's day!!!

I admit - I'm a people pleaser.
Or at least I used to be until I learned how to:
✔Stop doing things I didn't want to do.
âś” Seek my approval instead of others.
âś” Voice my opinions and desires.
✔Accept that I will make mistakes and that it's okay.
✔Stand by my choices and decisions.
As a child, saying no to my parents, grandparents, or anyone older than me was considered rude.
But now I'm an adult. And saying no doesn't mean that I am unkind, selfish, or rude.
It means that I respect myself and my choices, that I'm setting boundaries in my life and relationships, that I'm being honest with myself and those I love.
Never apologize for being you. You are beautiful, and the world needs to hear your voice.

“Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.” Melody Beattie.
Like most, I used to hurry to get things done to reach my goals, Build the life I want, or change the world in one way or another.
Unfortunately, I realized this left little or no time to reflect and be grateful for the things I had. A few years ago, I made a conscious decision to stop and be thankful for the following things:
1. Life
I used to take life, people, and what I possessed for granted. Until I lost people that I cared for. The last two years, losing my family members and then surviving Covid, I learned to appreciate my health and listen to my body. And last year reminded me that nothing is guaranteed next month, next week, or even tomorrow. So I am incredibly grateful for my life and those who surround me.
2. Opportunities
I am growing a business that I love. I know not everyone has the same options, and I’m forever grateful. Trying to build an organic audience is more complicated than it looks. Thankfully, opportunities continue to roll in, and I know that’s because of my hard work and dedication to my passions.
3. The journey
I’ve had great days and REALLY GREAT days! At the same time, I’ve had bad days where I’ve thought, “why do I spend all of this time building content when no one knows who I am?”
I am grateful that the hard times taught me to be humble, resilience and the ability to bounce back.
I’d love to hear what you are grateful for! Share in the comments!

When was the last time that you bought yourself flowers?
Two years ago, I started the job that put my financial plans in hyperdrive. I had a 1:1 with my new boss (who is also a single mother), she gave me two pieces of advice:
Buy yourself flowers every week.
Get a housekeeper.
I asked her why she would give such odd advice on my first day, and she explained that single mothers in corporate America have a rough time. She implored me to do something kind for myself EVERY WEEK because a demanding job coupled with a challenging home life can drive you crazy!
I haven't hired a housekeeper yet, but I make it my business to buy myself two dozen roses every week.
How are you kind to yourself?
Do you have a weekly ritual that makes you feel good about yourself?
I'm looking for new ideas.

Every week, I will post free content to help my followers achieve financial autonomy, practice self-care, or gain self-empowerment. For the next couple of weeks, my theme is Financial Autonomy.
This week's topic is - Money Mindset.
"A money mindset is an overriding attitude that you have about your finances. It drives how you make key financial decisions every day. And it can have a big impact on your ability to achieve your goals. If you change your mindset about money, you tend to make better choices about how to overcome challenges."

Have you read "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" By Robert Kiyosaki? That is the book that changed my life!! He speaks about our "WHY" in his book and not our "HOW." This book is DEFINITELY a must-read!
His why's are profound:
Why do we need more money?
Why do we need to learn new things?
Why should we be dedicated to financial growth?
I have several WHY'S:
My children.
My mental health
My future
If you understand your "WHY," the book says that you will manifest your "HOW."
Comment your "WHY" below, and then DM me to get help with your "How."

“Why is my financial well-being an important aspect of self-care ?”
I hear this question all the time. And the no-BS answer is that it depends on how finances affect your everyday life. For most of us, our finances dictate most aspects of our lives, and when we lack control over our money, we feel like we’ve lost control.
There is one thing everyone should do if they want to take control of their life.
CREATE A SYSTEM
Having a strategy and a process in place will help you consistently understand how your financial habits may affect your life.
Lucky for you, I can help you set it up. Check out the link in my bio to get started!

Good Morning!! When you're really focused and take action, good things start happening!
Today I challenge you to take a deep dive into your budget and look for areas of improvement.
đź’° Where can you save money?
đź’° Are you wasting money on subscriptions that you don't use?
Be intentional with your choices. Your future depends on it!!

Let's change direction today.
Our ultimate care goal is to achieve overall wellbeing. Self-care is about ensuring life satisfaction, self-esteem, and optimism are all in a favorable position, which is why caring for your mental wellbeing is an ideal method to do just that. Self-care entails taking action based on your knowledge and abilities. This could entail obtaining expert assistance, self-education, or utilizing existing tools to improve your general wellbeing.
I want to focus on finances for the next couple of months. Although most wouldn't agree, lack of financial literacy affects our life satisfaction, self-esteem, and optimism. If we cannot understand our credit and budget, we also lack control of our lives.
I want to help you work on your financial goals this year. Let's get together and work on that! Click the link in my bio and join my community.
