Our hearts are heavy today at Red Wagon Children’s Therapy Group as we mourn the passing of the incomparable Dolly Parton.

Dolly gave the world so much more than her music. She gave kindness, generosity, laughter, hope, and an extraordinary love for children. Through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, she helped put books into the hands of millions of young children and reminded all of us just how powerful a love of reading can be.

As people who spend our days working with little ones and their families, that part of Dolly’s legacy holds a very special place in our hearts.

The world feels a little less bright today, but what a beautiful legacy she leaves behind.

Thank you, Dolly, for the music, the joy, and especially for believing in children. You will be deeply missed.

With love,
The Red Wagon Children’s Therapy Group

We are absolutely thrilled to have Tania join the Red Wagon family!

Tania brings years of experience in Early Intervention and a genuine passion for helping young children learn, grow, and reach their developmental milestones through play. Even more exciting, she is bilingual in English and Spanish, allowing us to better serve and connect with even more families in our community.

Tania will be providing Developmental Play Therapy services to children and families throughout Mecklenburg and Cabarrus Counties, and we know she will make a tremendous impact.

Finding someone with Tania's experience, compassion, and dedication is truly something special.

We know the children and families she serves will be in wonderful hands, and we can't wait to see the difference she'll make.

Welcome to Red Wagon, Tania! We are so excited to have you on our team and can't wait to watch you make a difference in the lives of so many children and families

We have another graduate at Red Wagon! Charlee is turning 3 and moving on to the next wonderful chapter in her life! We will really miss her happy little self! Lynn was her therapist and has this sweet message about their time together.

There are children who leave tiny footprints on our hearts, and then there are children like Charlee, who gallop right in and make themselves at home. Charlee is turning 3 and graduating from early intervention this week. She has grown by leaps and bounds and is talking up a storm! Her confidence and independence shine brighter each week, whether she's choosing her own beautiful dresses, dancing with a smile on her face or riding horses on the family farm. It has been a privilege for Ms. Lynn to spend time each week playing , learning and laughing with Charlee and her sister Halli Jo. Every visit was a reminder of how much love surrounds this little girl, as Charlee's family has provided unwavering support and encouragement throughout her developmental journey.
Congratulations sweet Charlee! Keep shining your beautiful light wherever life takes you. You have a wonderful future ahead.

Please welcome Lauren to the Red Wagon Team! Lauren grew up in Cornelius, North Carolina, enjoying life on Lake Norman before earning her Bachelor of Social Work degree from Appalachian State University. During her time at Appalachian, she developed a love for the mountains while gaining valuable experience working with children through a variety of jobs and volunteer opportunities.

Lauren is passionate about early childhood development and is dedicated to helping young children learn, grow, and reach important developmental milestones. Her experience includes working in camps, preschools, and kindergarten classrooms, where she discovered the power of play-based learning and creative activities such as art to support children's development. Her long-term goal is to become a child therapist, and she is excited to be part of the early intervention journey with children and their families.

When she's not working, Lauren enjoys spending time outdoors, especially rock climbing, hiking, and running. She also loves attending concerts, creating and appreciating art, reading, and making memories with family and friends.

Please join us in welcoming our newest Developmental Play Therapist, Leya, to the Red Wagon Children's Therapy family!

Leya brings more than 10 years of experience working with children with disabilities and developmental delays and has a true passion for helping children and families reach their goals.

Originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Leya earned her Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice from Cardinal Stritch University, along with a certificate in Diversity Studies. Before joining Red Wagon, she worked as a Registered Behavior Technician providing ABA therapy and later as a Service Coordinator and Early Interventionist in the Birth-to-Three program. She has also spent time tutoring, coaching, and mentoring children in her community.

Leya is trauma-informed and has experience working with children and families from a wide variety of cultural and ethnic backgrounds. She believes that every step forward matters and celebrates all progress, no matter how big or small.

Leya will be serving families in the Shelby and western Mecklenburg County areas, and we're excited for the positive impact she'll have in those communities.

When she's not working, Leya enjoys music, volunteering, bowling, traveling, spending time with family and friends, and staying involved in her community.

We're thrilled to have Leya on our team and can't wait for the wonderful difference she'll make in the lives of the children and families we serve.

We have another graduate at Red Wagon this week! As Austin prepares to start the next chapter I would like to share a message from his awesome therapist, Lynn:

As Austin graduates from developmental play therapy and turns 3, I find myself feeling both incredibly proud and a little emotional. It has been such a privilege to watch him grow, learn and blossom over this past season. His sweet personality, determination, and joyful spirit have made every visit something I looked forward to. While this chapter is coming to an end, I know he has a wonderful future ahead of him.

To Austins family- thank you for welcoming me into your home and trusting me with such an important part of your son's journey. What began as a professional relationship has grown into something much more, and you have become like family to me. I will always treasure the memories we've made together and the special place Austin will hold in my heart. I am so grateful our paths crossed, and I can't wait to see all the amazing things he accomplishes in the years to come. Wishing your beautiful family continued joy, love and countless blessings.
