Planning 2024! We do homeschool year round but the summer is pretty light!

School has been busy!

December is the month of chaos for some but for us we choose to take time to relax. Focusing on our mental state, resting, learning new things of choice and simply creating a more relaxed rhythm. Reading books, fun projects, lots of cooking and enjoying our forever home!

The summer has been busy! Keeping the boys entertained in this camper is a joke!🤯 Homeschool resumed about 5 weeks ago!

Today's EGGsperiment! 🥚🥚🥚Our lovely neighbor up the street raises chicks and gifted us these eggs, blueberries and a 🐓(video coming soon!) So we decided to see if there were any differences in the eggs...size, color, taste, texture and etc.

White eggs go to a White Leghorn.
Brown large egg goes to the Buff Orphington.
Small tan egg goes to the Comet/Buff Orphington mix.

Couldn't really tell a difference in taste honestly. The boys ate the whole plate!🍳

Our hens should start laying any day now! We will keep you posted!

A last minute lesson! Paper and a sharpie will get the job done! Also a lesson in how to be on the lookout for snakes!

What an eventful few months. Homeschool never stops, the boys learn something new daily. Even when it feels like I haven't done anything they surprise me with new things and they pay attention to all the small things. We have about 4 weeks left for Josh until we take an extended break. Jordan and Jamison will continue with their lessons as I have slacked the most with them! I had plans of a schedule but with the passing of my dad everything has been a world wind. Too much to take in but we are working through it.

A little behind on posting but we have been busy! Josh has decided to do his work at night when his brothers go to sleep and focus on one subject a day. Meaning he will do a full week of math in one day! His choice, he does great tho! We are still in the homeschool bowling league and he started Archery last week. The kids love being outside and enjoy nature. Baseball starts next week!

This week was full of adventures! Outdoor time is a must for these kiddos!We are outside daily for hours. Also training Josh to teach his little brothers. Momma needs a break...🥴

Today was a little chilly! First stop bowling and then the library. The kids really get a kick out of the library! Josh even joined a homeschool art class that he surprisingly enjoyed.

Learning is more than completing lessons out of a textbook! We learn through experiences, a lot of hands on experiences. We explore and have fun while learning. The outdoors is our favorite place to be...even when it's freezing!

With the move to the camper, homeschool life has been a bit different. My main focus has been the big kid but little ones have gained so much from this new adventure we are on. We travel to different sites and boondock on our property quite a bit. The boys get plenty of outdoor time which they need and enjoy. Last month Josh participated in an Archery class and we both met some cool people. Let's see what December will bring.....
