It is Michael Jackson's birthday today. He went too soon 7 years ago at age 50, but his music is still loved by those who enjoy it. Speaking of which, that's the song for today. "Gone Too Soon" was originally a song from the King of Pop to a teenage boy named Ryan White, who died of AIDS at just 18 years old. The song would later be sung by Usher at Jackson's memorial, who shed tears before finishing the song. It is a song of rememberance, and also a reminder that life has a ticking clock that could stop at any moment. Here are both versions of the song.
