Please join us in welcoming Madelynn Winstead to the First Baptist School family!
Originally from Beaufort, South Carolina, Madelynn graduated from the University of South Carolina with a degree in Journalism and Mass Communications. Madelynn recently married her college sweetheart, Colin, and has enjoyed exploring Charleston with a local by her side. She is grateful to be part of the FBS community and looks forward to investing in the lives of her students and their families while seeing all that God has in store this school year.

Please join us in welcoming Bridget Cordray to the First Baptist School family!
Bridget is excited to join FBS as a K3 Assistant Teacher alongside Ms. Jodi Truluck—a full circle moment, as the two previously worked together during Bridget's time in First Baptist's aftercare program while she was in college.
In addition to joining the school as an educator, Bridget is also becoming part of the FBS community as a parent. Her daughter will be starting first grade this year, making this an especially meaningful season for their family. As Charleston natives with deep ties to the school, they're grateful to be part of such a welcoming community.
When she's not in the classroom, Bridget enjoys spending time on her family's farm in Ravenel with her husband, John William, their daughter, their baby son Liam, and a lively crew of animals, including two cats, a golden retriever named Blue, two horses, and a few cows. She looks forward to getting to know each of her students and their families throughout the year.
Welcome to FBS, Bridget! We're so glad you're here.

On Monday, June 20th, First Baptist School welcomed over fifteen of its valued vendors to a luncheon at the Harbour Club in Charleston. Guests enjoyed a wonderful meal before receiving an exciting overview of the school's latest improvements and future plans. They also discovered how they could support First Baptist School, not only as a business partner, but as a local non-profit worthy of their generosity.
The response was overwhelmingly positive, with attendees eager to support First Baptist School's mission of providing "Academic Excellence with a Christian Perspective." If you are interested in learning more about how you can financially support First Baptist School, please reach out to Jimmy Crook at [email protected].
