Today Mrs. K's 4th grade students learned about “Fat Tuesday," Mardi Gras, and discussed the Lenten season. They celebrated by eating some King Cake and some lucky students found the baby!

We held our annual Board of Visitors Luncheon this afternoon, and it was a wonderful time sharing all of the great things happening at First Baptist School.

Our 1st graders presented during lunch with reciting Matthew 5:14-16 and sang This Little Light of Mine. In this passage, Jesus tells His followers to be the light of the world and to let their light shine. We intend to share Gods light with others by following his way, being kind and listening to God.

We’re grateful for all of our BOV members who play a vital role in helping us shape the future of our school and students!

Last week, Mrs. Schaible's 4th graders joined Dana Moore from Experience Moore Tours on a walk around our beautiful school neighborhood. The tour taught the class fun facts about the old walled city, Judge Waring (Briggs vs. Elliott), Nat Fuller, who was a freed slave, and Phillip Simmons and his famous iron gate work on Tradd Street.
