https://buff.ly/2Zejt2Q Into to TIG/GTAW welding. New class with limited space, June 20th 6:30PM. Focus of class will be on the DC TIG process which works extremely well on steel (taught by Aaron Vanguard). Gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), also known as tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding, is an arc welding process that uses a non-consumable tungsten electrode to produce the weld. The weld area and electrode is protected from oxidation or other atmospheric contamination by an inert shielding gas (argon or helium), and a filler metal is normally used, though some welds, known as autogenous welds, do not require it.
There will be about 45 minutes of basic theory with hands-on 'tips & tricks' followed by 45 minutes of shop time.
Suggested class fee $20 donation with members receiving $10 off. Payments can be made in person or ahead of time at https://buff.ly/2UpqhMr (enter class name in the notes section).
