The TIDE Studio’s purpose is to provide support for students interested in product development, starting their own company, joining an early stage start up or continuing work on an existing start up through technology, resources, and a strong community. The Studio also aims to connect students with an interest in entrepreneurship and promote innovation and collaboration among students from all majors. The Studio will offer an environment that fosters creativity in designing and executing successful business ventures. In addition to a supporting and stimulating environment, the Lab will offer chances to network and connect with local successful entrepreneurs for potential mentorship opportunities. This organization will give hands on meaning to students about what it takes to create a successfully operating business venture.

Do you like learning or tinkering with new technology? Or have you never had the opportunity to and would like to learn or have access to them? Do you like free food? Maybe all of the above? GREAT! Come to the TIDES Lab official launch next Monday September 12th from 5-8 at the Towell Library (in the cistern).

What is the TIDES Lab you ask? Well TIDES is a maker lab that stands for Technology, Innovative Design and Entrepreneurship Studio and is a organization started by students, ran by students, and works for the students. We supply CofC students with access to technology including, but not limited to; 3D printers, arduino kits, virtual reality, camera mounted drones, raspberry p*s, etc.. Not only do we supply the state of the art tech, but we are here to teach people who are willing to learn, and for people who are already knowledgeable to further develop their skills.

Hope to see y'all there!
