The White Coat Campaign supports students in the Physician Assistant Program at the University of Charleston as they take their first step into clinical care — the donning of the white coat.

HOMECOMING BONUS! 🚗

A reception for UC Alumni will be held at the historic Morris Harvey House in Fayetteville, WV, the actual home of Morris and Rosa Harvey, whose generosity in 1901 saved the original Barboursville Seminary, resulting in it being renamed Morris Harvey College.

The Morris Harvey House is located at 201 West Maple Avenue in Fayetteville. It is now a charming bed & breakfast, with “Rosa’s Speakeasy” lounge on the first floor, where the UC reception will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 PM. David Kurtz ('80) will act as our alumni office liaison and host.

Fayetteville is in the heart of America’s newest national park, the New River Gorge National Park. The New River Gorge is the deepest and most rugged canyon in the eastern United States. Taking U.S. 60 east from Charleston, you will pass by Kanawha Falls, Cathedral Falls, and Hawks Nest State Park (all photo worthy spots). Turning south on four-lane U.S. 19 east of Ansted will take you to the Canyon Rim Visitor Center for the national park (a great place to learn about the park), just before you cross the 876 feet high New River Gorge Bridge.

Fayetteville is on the south side of the big bridge, with its quaint shops and unique restaurants.

Be sure to stop by the Morris Harvey House in Fayetteville between 1:00 and 3:00 to enjoy a drink and say “Go Eagles” to your fellow UC alumni.
