We loved hosting the TRiO program from UNC Pembroke on campus today! Students heard from the grad school staff and program directors about our programs and graduate education. College of Charleston Master of Science in Environmental and Sustainability Studies candidate, Amanda Namsinh is spending her summer supporting the South Carolina Sea Grant Consortium! Amanda’s internship with the Consortium focuses on volunteer coordination efforts for a local salt marsh restoration and community science project in Charleston. Working with the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources, Amanda and fellow volunteers, classmate Kayli Paterson and alum Rebecca Fanning spend their days planting Spartina grass to rebuild salt marsh areas.
