Charleston Junior Cotillion is officially underway! 🤍

What a wonderful first class with our young ladies and gentlemen. From new introductions and new friendships to dancing, etiquette, and plenty of smiles, we could not have asked for a better beginning to the season.
We are so grateful to our Charleston families for allowing us to be part of their children’s lives, and we cannot wait for all that this season has in store!

Our Year I 4th-5th grade class is currently full, but we have limited opportunities remaining in our Year I 6th-8th grade and Year II program.

Charleston and Summerville families! ✨

Charleston Junior Cotillion classes begin this weekend, so now is the time to be sure to secure your child’s place! Charleston Pre-Cotillion begins in September, with engaging instruction created especially for younger students.

Summerville families can also register for both Pre-Cotillion and Junior Cotillion classes this season that will begin later this month.

Through etiquette education, social development, dining instruction, and ballroom dance, students build confidence, character, courtesy, and poise that will serve them for years to come.

Why do we teach children good manners? ⭐️

Because every etiquette tradition has a purpose. 🍽️

Many of the customs we still practice today have been passed down for generations, not because they’re old-fashioned, but because they help us show kindness, respect, and consideration for others.

At the National League of Junior Cotillions®, we believe children are more likely to practice good manners when they understand why they matter.

This is the first post in our new “Why Do We?” series, where we’ll uncover the fascinating history behind the etiquette lessons that continue to shape confident, respectful young people.

Limited availability remains for the 2026–2027 season, and some classes are already full.

In our Pre-Cotillion Program, students learn the importance of expressing gratitude through thoughtful thank you notes, along with kindness, respect, confidence, and consideration for others. These are life skills they’ll carry with them for years to come.
