Congratulations to this year’s Industrial Robotics class!
This group achieved an outstanding accomplishment by scoring above the state average on the NOCTI Exam, with five students surpassing the national average and earning the title of FANUC Certified Robot Operator with RoboGuide. Throughout the year, students had fun building pneumatic can crushers, programming Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLCs, using iRVision to inspect wrenches, creating pick-and-place projects with Jenga blocks, and taking some time to build mechatronic eyes and design motion-activated Halloween faces.

Students from the Industrial Robotics program at Carver Career Center recently visited Gestamp in South Charleston to explore career opportunities in advanced manufacturing and automation.
During the tour, students gained firsthand insight into modern industrial robotics, automated production systems, and also had the opportunity to learn about career pathways in robotics, maintenance, engineering technology, and skilled trades directly from industry professionals.
