"Freeing students from the confines of the school day, the walls of the classroom, the sole expertise of the teacher, and the pace of the rest of the class, blended learning could fundamentally change the system and structure of school, and provide students with a more personalized, active learning experience."

We believe 21st-century learners excel when dynamic, engaging and innovative practices are used to meet their diverse needs.

Christy James | Movers & Shakers 2020–Innovators

Y’all! Our adopted teammate, Christy James is phenomenal and now everyone knows it!Congratulations on this recognition, Christy; it is beyond well deserved! IDL will continue to do all we can to support teachers, staff, and students in remote learning environments through virtual workshops and coaching sessions as well as curating resources here: We're here for you, teachers! Reach out!

”We understand that this is a very difficult decision, and we are in support of the Governor’s decision to continue the school closure for the remainder of this academic year. While we all want to return to normal when it comes to school and related activities, this decision reinforces that the health and safety of students and staff must always come first.

Our remote delivery of academic instruction and other supports will continue for the remainder of the year, including plans to close out the year with special recognitions for seniors and personal contacts with students and families at every grade level.”
