Ever wondered what RVRG’s guest cabins look like? Each one is unique in size, but they all share one important feature: their configuration remains historically intact, from the furniture to the fittings. Everything is original to the 1936 Army Corps of Engineers design. All we did was add some decorative items- like good books to read and some live plants to enjoy a little terra firma while out at sea. If you book this cabin, you may even get inspired to sit down at that desk and handwrite a letter to someone special. This one is the “Peary”, named after the American explorer Robert Peary, who led several expeditions to the Arctic in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Who knows? Perhaps you’ll get to mail that special letter you just might write at one of the few post offices that exist in the Arctic!
Forward. Together.

There’s no doubt that RVRG’s saloon is everyone’s favorite place to be, especially at dock, or on calm seas at night when we light all the candles… (Photos of what it looks like on much rougher waters is for another post altogether!)
This historic ship is pure magic. She exudes an authentic energy that is felt by everyone who comes aboard. Whether you’re a scientific research team, a curious citizen scientist, an adventurous traveler, a creative who wants to use her for your unique project, or anyone who simply wants a truly memorable experience, we look forward to having you here.
Forward. Together.
