Attention Pre-Vet Students:
VMCAS has turned on a feature to allow for uploading of unofficial transcripts. This feature will only be for the VMCAS 2021 cycle due to some institutions not being able to provide official transcripts, or provide them in a timely fashion, given the pandemic. This is an exception process that will allow applicants that are unable to obtain an official transcript to upload an unofficial transcript in order to allow them to move through the verification process. Please be aware that applicants will first need to:
• Contact their registrar directly to determine if official transcripts (electronic and/or paper) are available and should still arrange for an official one to be sent to VCMAS (even if delayed).
• Applicants should upload a document generated by the institution (i.e. computer printout of student record, scanned copy of student-issued transcript).
• VMCAS will not accept any handwritten or typed document created by the applicant.
• Verify that the following statements are true: I certify that I cannot have official transcripts sent for the schools listed above. I understand that processing this exception may increase the length of time required to process my VMCAS application. I affirm that the unofficial transcript that I have uploaded is a true and accurate representation of my academic credentials and has not been changed or altered.
• Questions about this exception process can be directed to VMCAS Customer Support at [email protected] or (617) 612-2884.

Hello everyone! I realized after I watched the video on youtube that my video didn't upload to the OneDrive folder so I am posting it on here. I miss seeing all of you and wish you all the best!
Registration will open on May 7 for the updated 2020 MCAT Testing Calendar.
They are increasing the number of testing appointments per day to increase capacity and follow safe social distancing practices.
They are adding three additional test dates (June 28, September 27, and September 28) and offering three test appointments per day at test centers.
They are temporarily shortening the exam to 5 hours and 45 minutes by removing some field test questions and administrative items, such as the tutorial and end-of-day survey.
Students will still be tested on all four sections of the exam and will be responsible for learning the same content that is tested on the full-length exam.
Additionally, there are no changes to scores. Just like examinees who took the full-length test, students will receive five scores from the exam: one from each of the four sections and one combined total score.
MCAT scores will be reported within about two weeks (instead of the typical four weeks) for exams held between June 19 and August 1 to allow applicants to include MCAT scores in their applications earlier.

Important Officer Election Information
Our last Pre-Health Society club meeting of the year will be at 6:30 PM tomorrow, Tuesday, April 21 – It’s a Zoom meeting for new officer elections. Email Dr. Zanin ([email protected]) if you need the link to join the meeting (The meeting link also was sent over the past two weeks in several emails via the Pre-Health Society CitLearn Group).
Being an officer in this club is a great way to showcase your leadership to medical/dental/PA/Vet/etc. schools.
Please email our current President, Noah Nawabi ([email protected]) to let him know if you are interested in running for a leadership position in the club, and let which office/offices you would like to pursue. Officer duties and election procedures are described below. Read them carefully, and please do not run for office unless you will have the time and commitment to perform your duties.
At the election meeting candidates will have an opportunity to speak briefly about why they want to hold office. We will first display the names for interested candidates for President, then those candidates will speak, and all the club members will vote by private email to Dr Zanin (mailto:[email protected]?subject=Voting for Pre-Health Society Officer Elections). We will then continue down the list of positions, allowing those who were not elected previously to run again for other positions if they wish.
In the past, successful candidates were those that had a history of being active in the club and who displayed their passion for the health field and/or ideas for improving the club.
• President: Coordinate all guest speakers and activities (including fundraiser). Communicate and clear all plans with Dr. Zanin (club advisor). Coordinate folks to help Dr. Zanin set out food and clean up after each meeting. Delegate authority and keep all other officers and club members on track with their duties.
• Vice President: Assist President with all presidential duties. Assign and remind other officers or members to do their jobs, help advertise meetings and activities. Be sure meeting room is clean at each meeting’s end and that all flyers and tape are removed from hallways, or assign someone to do so.
• Secretary: Take attendance at meetings and send electronic updated file to Dr. Zanin. Create and hang flyers and write emails to advertise all club activities. Recruit officers and members to help hang flyers, or hang them yourself. Remove flyers and tape and recycle them after each meeting. Assist President with presidential duties.
• Treasurer: Collect and record any monies received for dues or fundraisers and submit them to Dr. Zanin along with an Excel spreadsheet roster of all paid amounts. Keep track of expenses and profits from fundraisers. Present a financial report to the club at the end of the year. Help advertise meetings and activities. Assist President with presidential duties.
