These two fabulous seniors had recitals on Sunday - Alene Maxstadt and Elizabeth Rickfelder!
Alene’s senior composition recital showed her growth over four years and built up to a really cool octet from this semester. She’ll be going to Boston University for graduate school in ethnomusicology this fall.
Elizabeth’s senior recital program included works by JS Bach, Lucas Foss, Raimundo Pineda, Amanda Harberg, and Otar Taktakishivili. She’s headed to basic training about a month after graduation and will be joining the Marines organization as a flutist!
We will miss them at EIU, but graduating is what students are supposed to do, eventually, right?
