🌊🔬 Erosion in Action! 🔬🌊

Second grade became scientists and engineers today! Students built their own LEGO structures along a sandy coastline and then tested what happened when water began to move the land. 🏖️🧱 Through this hands-on investigation, they were able to see erosion in action and discover how water can change Earth’s surface over time.

Lots of teamwork, creativity, problem-solving, and messy science fun! 💙🧪✨

📚❤️ Growing Readers. Building Relationships. Living the Nativity Way.

Our 5th and 6th graders recently spent some special time reading with our K4 students, and it was a beautiful picture of what makes our Nativity community so special.

Our youngest students got to enjoy a good story and some one-on-one attention, while our older students had the opportunity to lead, encourage, and share their love of reading.

At Nativity, we believe some of the best learning happens when we learn with and from one another. These reading buddies are doing more than turning pages. They’re building friendships, confidence, and a lasting love of learning. ❤️📖

It’s not all classroom education at Nativity School! 🏫💙 Our students, faculty, and staff know how to have fun and enjoy the community we've built together.

Right after our morning cheer last Friday, the entire school split in half for a fast-paced game of "Heads, Shoulders... Steal the Cardboard with Your Feet!" 🦶📦 Classmates and peers paired up across from each other for some amazing, friendly competition.

P.S. We had to speed up the video to fit all the action! ⚡

A huge thank you to our teachers who jumped in to play, helped kick things off, and monitored for fair play!

☀️ Rise & Shine, First Grade! ☀️

Each morning, First Grade starts the day with a new high frequency word and our Rise & Shine binders! Students practice skills like writing their name and date, vowels and consonants, tally marks, ten frames, place value, and fact families using our number of days in school. ✏️📚

A great way to review important skills and build independence each morning! 💙☀️

🍪 Sweet treats + the sweetest PTO! ❤️

Our AMAZING Nativity School PTO showered our faculty and staff with enough delicious goodies to make our lunch table look like a bakery exploded! 😋🍰 These pictures barely capture the abundance of sweetness.

A HUGE thank-you to our generous Nativity parents who donated these treats and made our faculty and staff feel so loved! You certainly know the way to a teacher’s heart. ❤️🙌

🍎 Building Friendships Beyond the Classroom! 🍎

At Nativity School, lunchtime is about more than just sharing a meal! Through our Lunch Families, students are paired with classmates from different grade levels, creating opportunities to build friendships, share stories, and get to know one another.

From our youngest learners to our oldest students, these special lunchtime connections encourage kindness, confidence, and a sense of belonging. Older students have the opportunity to lead and encourage, while younger students learn from and look up to their new friends.

It's a wonderful way to strengthen our school community, one lunch and one friendship at a time! 💙✝️
