Another great Church Security training in the books!

Today’s training focused on preparing church security personnel to respond confidently, safely, and effectively when seconds matter. Students worked through a combination of classroom instruction, practical scenarios, and live-fire fi****ms training designed around the unique challenges of protecting a place of worship.

Training included:
• Fi****ms safety and responsible armed security
• Defensive handgun fundamentals
• Drawing and engaging from the holster
• Reloading and weapon manipulation
• Shooting from multiple positions
• Use of cover and movement
• Threat identification and decision-making
• De-escalation and scenario-based training
• Church-specific emergency response

Church security is about far more than carrying a fi***rm. It’s about awareness, preparation, communication, sound judgment, and having the skills to protect the congregation while minimizing risk to innocent people.

A huge thank you to everyone who participated and took the responsibility of church security seriously. Training today means being better prepared if the unthinkable ever happens.

Today, we pause to remember the men and women who gave everything in service to this country. Memorial Day is more than a long weekend. It is a reminder that freedom has always come at a cost paid by Americans willing to stand in harm’s way for others.

Here in West Virginia, that sacrifice became deeply personal when WV National Guard members Andrew Wolfe and Sarah Beckstrom were attacked last November, and Sarah tragically lost her life. We remember her service, her sacrifice, and the impact her loss had on our communities and those who served beside her.

As well SPC William A Rhodes who was killed while stationed in Fort Polk, LA. S. Army infantryman with the 10th Mountain Division

We also remember the brave service members lost during Operation Epic Fury, whose sacrifice in the line of duty will never be forgotten. Their courage and commitment to protecting others represent the very meaning of Memorial Day

At Mountaineer Dynamics Institute, we honor all who have served and especially those who never made it home. Their courage, selflessness, and commitment to protecting others should never be forgotten.

This Memorial Day, please take a moment to remember the fallen, support their families, and appreciate the freedoms we enjoy because of them.

Never Forgotten 🇺🇸
