It's your weekly reminder.... 51 days to Matriculation!

Completed in 1951, Capers Hall housed the humanities and served as an architectural focal point for the campus. It is currently being torn down to be rebuilt as a modern 21st century educational space. The new Capers Hall is scheduled to be completed in 2023.

Be sure to visit Matriculation HQ - https://www.citadel.edu/root/matriculationhq - to ensure that you are prepared.

Get ready because we only have 57 days until Matriculation!

Mark Clark Hall was completed in 1957. This building is where the post office, the barber shop, and the bookstore are housed as well as the Honor Court. Students tend to spend much of their free time here because Starbucks is also located in Mark Clark.

We hope you are getting excited for Matriculation Day!

On Fridays, The Admissions Office wants to highlight our amazing admission officers and cadet ambassadors. From calls and emails to giving presentations and tours, these are the people who make it all happen.

Jeff Price, Deputy Director of Admissions
Seneca High School ’88, The Citadel ‘92

What is your favorite aspect about working at The Citadel?
“Being able to see the expansion of the college’s leadership-centric mission. The Citadel has always done a good job of teaching leadership. Today, though, it is much more formalized. It defines everything we do, and our cadets benefit from this.”

What is your advice to a junior or senior applying to colleges?
“Seek advice from parents and other adults, but don’t rely on them to make the decision for you. It doesn’t hurt to read the brochures, but do your own research. Talk to current students or recent graduates, visit schools you’re considering, think about cost, evaluate graduation rates, and so forth. Ultimately, it’s your decision, so be engaged.”
