On Fridays, The Admissions Office wants to highlight our amazing admission officers and cadet ambassadors. From calls and emails to giving presentations and tours, these are the people who make it all happen.

Jeff Price, Deputy Director of Admissions
Seneca High School ’88, The Citadel ‘92

What is your favorite aspect about working at The Citadel?
“Being able to see the expansion of the college’s leadership-centric mission. The Citadel has always done a good job of teaching leadership. Today, though, it is much more formalized. It defines everything we do, and our cadets benefit from this.”

What is your advice to a junior or senior applying to colleges?
“Seek advice from parents and other adults, but don’t rely on them to make the decision for you. It doesn’t hurt to read the brochures, but do your own research. Talk to current students or recent graduates, visit schools you’re considering, think about cost, evaluate graduation rates, and so forth. Ultimately, it’s your decision, so be engaged.”

Hi! My name is Cadet Tori Moran and I am from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I’m a current sophomore double majoring in Intelligence and Security Studies and Political Science. I serve as a cadre squad corporal for Oscar Company.

What is the hardest thing to get used to at The Citadel?

The hardest thing to get used to at The Citadel for me was time management. There is a lot that goes into being a cadet, as well as a student, and finding a balance between both, can be challenging.

What advice would you give to someone considering The Citadel?

I would tell them to embrace everything that it has to offer especially during knob year. Being a cadet comes with many challenges not just as a knob but each year you are here. Embrace what is thrown at you and allow it to make you better.

12/02/2020

Get to know our cadets who are hosting zoom sessions! Maybe you are from the same state or they are majoring in what you think you want to major in. To schedule a zoom session: https://citadel-cadet-chat.appointlet.com

Hello, I'm Cadet Cameron Kilgallon and I’m a business administration major in the Class of 2021. I am a senior private from Romeo Company and I live in Florence, South Carolina.

What advice would you give to someone considering The Citadel?
I would tell someone to understand that you’re not going to have a normal college life.

What is the hardest thing to get used to at The Citadel?
Making sure to manage my time well.
