Horticulture students experience concepts firsthand and learn real-world applications with field trips to agricultural locations like The Goatery at Kiawah River, an artisan goat dairy, and the Pluff Mudd Farm, a small fiber farm.

Chef Michael Carmel of The Culinary Institute of Charleston earned the 2024 Idaho Potato Commission Postsecondary Educator of the Year award for his innovative community partnerships, commitment to students and consistent leadership in working to protect the Guild of Culinary Arts. This national honor recognizes an educator’s professional commitment to the educational community and foodservice industry. Congratulations, Chef!

Student American Dental Hygienists' Association members Savanna Eargle and Mikayla Hansford attended the National ADHA Annual Conference in New Orleans in July along with advisor Kimberly Bodiford. Dental hygienists from across the nation learned about the most relevant topics shaping the future of dental hygiene. Savanna serves as the state representative and Mikayla is the dental hygiene class of 2025 president.

Trident Technical College President Dr. Vicky Wood and Student Success Center staff welcomed more than 670 new students at the Thornley Campus orientation sessions today. Palmer, Dorchester and Mount Pleasant campuses also held orientation for new students. We are so glad you chose Trident Tech!
