For the past three years, Anna has volunteered at Southampton Fresh Air Home in New York. Here, Anna volunteered as a counselor for children with special needs. After graduation, Anna plans to either move to England to teach students with emotional and behavioral disorders or go to Macedonia with the Peace Corps as a Special Education Community Development volunteer. Anna truly lives by the Delta Gamma model of #DoingGood!

I Went A Day Without My Phone And Here's What Happened

So proud of our amazing sister, Ally Comegys, for challenging herself to look up from her phone and see all the beauty that's out there! Thanks for Doing Good, Ally!

"It’s important for you to realize that your life shouldn’t be lived through a tiny, glass screen. You don’t realize how big and wonderful the world is until you look up and actually see it." I check my phone. What do I look at? Texts. Snapchat. Instagram. Twitter. Facebook. Repeat.

Delta Gamma Fraternity

It's Panhel Friday! We want to say thanks to the National Panhellenic Conference Inc. for helping DG and other NPC sororities implement something called values-based recruitment! This focuses the recruitment process, for both our sisters and the potential new members, on the important core values of DG. Read more here:

For example, we love how Eta Sigma-Charleston actually used our values as décor during recruitment this year! #recruitmentseason

CofC Delta Gamma Anchorsplash 2016

DGs in Charleston are eagerly preparing for our favorite day of the year, AnchorSplash! Please work alongside us by helping us fundraise while we do what Delta Gammas do, protect the gift of sight.

Our vp: Foundation, Caroline Ruttenberg, challenges you to ask yourself, “Can you imagine if you were visually impaired? What if you couldn’t see the colors of the sunrise? Sight is a sense we all take for granted. If you were to contribute to this donation page you could help to give the gift of sight to someone in need!”

We would truly appreciate your support as our collegiate women strive to uphold the high ideals of Delta Gamma women by Doing Good for others! Protecting the gift of sight is one of Delta Gamma's highest priorities. Through the four schools founded by Delta Gamma, children who are blind or visually impaired learn specialized skills. Adults receive personal attention through volunteer hours with more than 150 organizations and annual grants...

We're so proud of our very own, CDC Sarah, for being the kind, generous, loyal, and inspiring leader that she is! Keep making your mark on the world!

Delta Gammas are role models and they are loyal. Meet Sarah Gilbert, Eta Sigma-Charleston, as she joins the #IAmASororityWoman movement! Sarah is one of our CDCs who will be helping establish our brand new Eta Psi-Iowa State chapter. Delta Gamma at the College of Charleston

Good luck to our sister, Shannon, as she continues to compete in Miss South Carolina 2016 tonight! Regardless of the outcome, we are so proud of you💖

The College of Charleston is so lucky to have such amazing faculty who are willing to and eager to create a culture of care for their students. Dr. Anne Gutshall was the recipient of the Foundation's Outstanding Faculty Award (sponsored by Gamma Mu-Florida State) and spoke in front of 900+ Delta Gamma's at the 67th Biennial Convention about the importance of caring for others, which is something she undoubtedly does for her students on a daily basis. Specifically highlighted in her words to our members, Dr. Gutshall endlessly thanks two of Eta Sigma-Charleston's members, Julia Neppl and Suzi Vallez, who tirelessly worked to ensure that the application for this award reflected exactly who Dr. Gutshall is: a caring, compassionate, and passionate professor and leader in the Charleston community. Thank you Julia and Suzi and congratulations to Dr. Gutshall!

Delta Gamma Fraternity

Back in March, our collegiate sister Amber Dorn, Eta Sigma-Charleston, was injured in a severe horseback riding accident. Eta Sigma sister Halle Murphy traveled cross country from NY to CA to lend a supportive shoulder and be her champion. Amber told us, “I have some serious anxiety about the way my face looks [after the accident] (which is why my right side is hidden in this picture) and she forced me to recognize that it is what it is, and that it's no reason to hide.” THIS is the power of sisterhood. #AnchoredforAmber

Delta Gamma Foundation

The Foundation is pleased to announce the recipient of the Foundation’s 2016 Outstanding Faculty Award: Dr. Anne Gutshall, an Associate Professor in the School of Education at the College of Charleston. Nominated by Eta Sigma-Charleston (Delta Gamma at the College of Charleston, Dr. Gutshall, who has been on the faculty at the College of Charleston for nine years, is a graduate of Gettysburg College where she majored in Psychology and was initiated as a member of Chi Omega Fraternity. She earned her M.A. from Towson State University, and her Ph.D. from the University of South Carolina. The adviser to two campus organizations: Charleston Hope and Project Playground, Dr. Gutshall has been a member of the Faculty Senate as well as the Honors College Committee.

The 2016 Outstanding Faculty Award carries with it a $5,000 stipend. Gamma Mu-Florida State (Delta Gamma at The Florida State University) is sponsoring this award in memory of Diem Brown. We look forward to honoring Dr. Gutshall at Convention in June!
