Will you be having a show at Armory Park in North Charleston this fall? If so, what dates. Thank you 🚉
My son Ben Maiden and his friend Jared Shafto enjoyed sitting in one of the "speeders" on display from South Carolina Railroad Museum at the 2019 Spring Train Show today.
I found a box of random S gauge cars, parts, and accessories. It's not exactly a gold mine, but I hate throwing anything away that may be useful to someone. Any takers? Happy to drop off somewhere. Thanks!
I am coming down to Charlston,SC in March on vacation. I belong to (2) different clubs in Kansas City - Brush Creek & Western and Kansas City Eastern (also known as the Jackson County Model Railroaders). I am hoping to do some visiting or hopefully get involved wit a ops session. I have a all kinds of video information available about the 2 clubs on Dale Shipman Trians. com ( u-tube) Please let me know. [email protected]
Love for you guys to bring a display to the hot air affair May 3 4 5 2019

Is there a fall show this year?
The Club's O Gauge Layout is getting a facelift. Well, actually it's more like reconstructive surgery. The 1st 40 feet of the O gauge display has been removed to make way for the new modules and track plan. We start the construction off-site on August 5th but should be back in the Club's Showroom by mid-August with an operational new layout design. Stop by and watch it evolve.
I enjoyed spending a bit of time with y 'all today. I hope to get back soon.
CAMRC's own Drew Seay and Matt Williams got creative and produced this nice tribute to our American heroes. The Freedom Train rolls out for Memorial Day, May 28, 2018 at CAMRC, in remembrance of all those who gave their all for every American. Those men and women will never be forgotten! Please share with all your friends and family.
CAMRC clubroom will be open for special Memorial Day hours, Monday 5/28 1:00pm - 5:00pm, at the Citadel Mall just outside Dillard’s. We will be operating our troup train in memory of all our fallen heroes who gave all in wartime.

Be Smart! Be Alert! Be Safe!

Railroad Safety Week Sept. 20-26.

Look for this train to be running at the club from now until the end of September!

08/26/2021

Never sit on train tracks. It is extremely dangerous and can turn deadly in an instant. Please don't take Prom, Senior, Engagement, Wedding, or any other kinds of pictures on the tracks. For starters, you are illegally on railroad property. Second, if an article of clothing were to get stuck and a fast moving freight or passenger train were to come through, your wonderful pictures just turned gruesome!

Video of "fatality" involving pedestrian struck by train.

[01/23/21]   January 23rd update:

We will open our show room today January 23rd from 11am to 3pm in a soft opening format. Mask will be required to enter and must be worn at all times.

We have also plan on two soft openings In February. Those dates will be the 6th and 20th. Both operating from 11am to 3pm. Stay tuned to our page for more information becomes available. And as we try to return to a normal operation schedule.

08/19/2020

With our doors closed to the public it has allowed us to do improvements to the show room which we wouldn’t have been able to do while operating our normal schedule. Currently, our show room is getting a fresh coat of paint to freshen things up. Along with the repainting project the Ho scale layout is getting all new wiring to allow for smoother operations in the future.
We are still going to remain closed and ask for your understanding and patience. We hope everyone stays safe during the unprecedented times!

08/01/2020

August 1st update:

In response to CDC and SCDHEC recommendations regarding the Coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic, CAMRC model railroad displays will remain closed. When it is appropriate we will reopen. Thanks for the understanding.

03/25/2020

Even though we are still closed we decided to bring the trains to you. Here is a short clip of A Pete Marquette 2-8-4 hauling mixed freight on the Ho scale Layout

03/08/2020

Due to serious remodeling delays at the Danny Jones Complex we will need to cancel our show. We attempted to source other dates and venues, to no avail. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. Please stay tuned to our page for a new show date.

03/07/2020

Progress is being made on the Ho scale layout. Most of the new rail bed is laid, with the rest of it finishing up this week. New rails along with switches are currently being placed into position, with electrical work beginning soon. Our goal is to have the first train service this area within the next couple of weeks.

02/27/2020

Pardon our mess.

Layout improve construction has started on the Ho scale layout. Over the next few weeks new rails and industry buildings will be added on the layout to enhance operational sessions once they return.

Amtrak

Take a look at this. It’s the future of Amtrak’s High Speed Rail on the NEC between Washington D.C and Boston they are due to start revenue service in 2021.

They grow up so fast! Amtrak’s new Acela fleet, set to enter service in 2021, continues its progression at Alstom’s facility in Hornell, NY, and the first train, out of 28 trainsets, will be moving to Pueblo, CO in mid-February for further testing. This video shows off the new trains in action, highlighting the dynamic, sleek and modern exteriors that customers can expect to see along the Northeast Corridor. #Acela
