Celebrating Our Students' Success at ASMA 2025!
Dr. Kwangho Park and Dr. Ju Young (LJ) Lee proudly brought three graduate students to the Applied Sport Management Association (ASMA) Conference in Cincinnati, Ohio! Our students showcased their dedication and hard work by presenting five research posters developed in our Sport Management graduate courses.
At the conference, they expanded their professional networks, gained fresh perspectives on the field, and deepened their passion for academic research and career development. Beyond the academic experience, our ASMA team also had a fantastic time together, building connections and making unforgettable memories!
Huge congratulations to our students for representing our program with excellence!

The “Human Knot” exercise. EMS response requires working with others in close quarters. The human knot exercise puts students in this situation and lets them illustrate their problem-solving skills through communication and group decision-making. Team success depends on the ideas and contributions of all team members.
Great work today!

A Message From Dr. Chris Sole, Chair of Health & Human Performance.
As we begin the Spring 2025 semester, we do so with heavy hearts and a profound sense of loss following the untimely passing of Cadet George “Tripp” Williams. Tripp was an exceptional member of our department and an outstanding Exercise Science major, who aspired to attend medical school.
A leader both inside and outside the classroom, Tripp embodied servant leadership this past summer as part of The Citadel's Healthcare Study Abroad Program in Kenya. His dedication, kindness, and passion left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him, and his memory will continue to inspire us all.
The Department of Health and Human Performance extends its deepest condolences to Tripp's family, classmates, friends, and all those who were fortunate to know him.
Our faculty members are here to support you during this difficult time and are available for you.

…And it’s a wrap for 2024.
The grades are in and now it’s time to partaay!
Our Health & Human Performance Party was a win. Great food, time spent together and a celebration of socks. Special guest was newborn Baby Lina Park who is just one month old!!!
