Our education team had a blast in schools this week with the Make a Ballet program! Special thanks to North Charleston High School's Dance Educator Christopher Robbins and administrator Mr. Darby, as well as Sanders-Clyde Creative Arts School's Kenyetta Bailey and principal Janice Malone! š¶

had a fantastic time partnering with The Charleston Promise Neighborhood at Sanders-Clyde Creative Arts School in bringing a trick-or-treat event to their students! Check out the candy chutes our incredible maintenance team designed & painted! Weāre grateful for our teammates and their dedication to the community.

Thank you to all our volunteers Sanders-Clyde Elementary School!
Thank you to Judith Gordan! Judith has been a great example for providing endless support to her lunch buddy D.A who is currently in 4th grade. While D.A was having difficulty in reading and returning her school homework, it was Judith who paid attention and talked to me about trying to figure out ways to help D.A.
Her teachers got involved, and we decided that in addition to everything she's been doing through out the day, joining the Kaleidoscope after school program will help her build her self-confidence and perform better.
Prior to Covid-19, there was a tremendous difference.
Judith has been in touch with D.A while school is closed. D.A's birthday is next week, and Judith is making sure she will be able to celebrate it together!

While schools are closed, students 18 and younger will be served a FREE āGrab & Goā style meal service at 15 schools in the county. Meals will be picked up in a ādrive thruā style.
Students can get Breakfast & Lunch from 11am - 1pm (Monday to Friday) until March 31.

Due to the forecast for inclement weather related to Tropical Storm Nicole, all of Charleston County School District will switch to eLearning or remote work days tomorrow, Friday, November 11, 2022. School and district buildings will be closed, except for essential personnel.
Schools families will provide students and families with additional information about the eLearning Day later this afternoon or evening.
Kaleidoscope and all other extracurricular activities and afterschool programs scheduled for Friday, November 11, 2022, are canceled.

Due to the potential flooding from Tropical Storm Nicole, schools, programs, and offices located downtown on the peninsula of Charleston are moving to eLearning or remote work days tomorrow, Thursday, November 10, 2022. All CCSD buildings located in downtown Charleston will be closed.

We have a Post Office at Sanders Clyde! Our fourth and fifth grade scholars are running it and making sure mail is delivered to the right places.
Our official first day is November 14th. We did a trial run just to make sure everyone understands the process.

We celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month. We had activities today that include Christy Flores & Company Dancers, Steph Frederickson, Caja de Cuerdas band,and speakers Adriana and Maria Perez.
It was a great month learning all about the Hispanic culture!

We love showing off the great things that our scholars are doing. This post is all about our terrific kindergartners. We love how they are being scientists as they experiment with objects floating or sinking. They also love reading and going to the bookmobile.
