The Kanawha-Charleston Health Department is giving FREE sports physicals on Saturday, July 20 from noon until 6:00 p.m. on the first floor of the Charleston Town Center near FootLocker. Walk-ins are welcome.

The health department is also doing required school vaccinations. Seventh graders need the TDAP and meningococcal shots; seniors need their 2nd dose of the meningococcal vaccine.

There will be door prizes and other giveaways.

Parents or guardians are required to accompany those under age 18 for physicals and vaccinations. Free parking will be available in the health department lots across from the Town Center Mall on Lee Street.

We had a blast at the baseball game last week and swimming on those hot days. I think it’s safe to say we are all jazzed for the Blues Camp this week!

We’ve had a great week over at our Summer Kanawha Teen Program! Here’s what we’ve been up to this week. Making Rain Sticks, learning about and making models of the Solar System, attending the Block Party and dancing, and of course lots of swimming! Don’t forget we are closed next week for the Regatta!
