It's 74° in Charleston and the end of Summer! While everyone else is kicking back and maybe enjoying a third hot dog, we're here to kick it into high gear. The gym just got a deep clean, and it smells like... well, like victory mixed with a hint of bleach.
​Come sweat out that Labor day food and join us for Clay Lundy's BJJ class at 12:30, and open striking. Members and non-members are welcom! All you need is a willingness to learn and maybe a clothes pin for your nose (kidding, it smells great).

​Over the years, we've had the honor of watching Coach Clay evolve into one of the top leaders and instructors here at Black Label Martial Arts. He's the guy you go to for answers, a true encyclopedia of knowledge in not just BJJ but Judo as well.

What makes him so special is his commitment as a competitor. He's not just teaching from a book—he's actively rolling with his students and competing himself, showing us what it means to be a dedicated martial artist. He's the first person to make new students feel at home and the reason our veterans feel so respected. We are incredibly grateful for his guidance and the welcoming environment he has built.

🎓 August 21st Degree Promotions 🎓

Leading up to our promotion day on August 21st, we’ll be working closely with students to fine-tune and build out their BJJ Inventory — the collection of techniques, skills, and decision-making habits that make your game yours.

🧠 This month’s focus will include:
• Sharpening fundamentals 🔧
• Implementing newly learned techniques 🔄
• Making the right choices during live rolling ♟️

Testing will be informal, but intentional. We’ll be looking at how well you’re applying what you’ve learned — not just what you know, but how you use it on the mat.

This is a great opportunity to challenge yourself a little more each day and watch your growth in real time. 💪 You’ll love the results — and we’ll love rewarding you for your consistent effort and evolution.
