School's almost out for summer, and it’s time for a little fun! We turned up the energy for some friendly faculty competition with co****le, pickleball, and kickball games. We can’t wait for summer! ☀️

West Ashley Athletics continued to raise the standard in 2025-26.

We earned 2 State Championships in swimming with one relay team title and one individual state champion.

Men’s Soccer, Women’s Soccer, and Men’s Basketball were crowned AAAAA Region 8 Champions, with Men’s Basketball finishing a perfect 10-0 in region play.

42 student-athletes earned All-Region honors, 6 were named to All-Lowcountry teams, 2 lacrosse players earned All-District recognition, and 11 athletes received All-State honors across multiple sports. Track & Field athletes also broke school records this season.

We are proud to send 15 student-athletes to the next level after signing collegiate letters of intent in football, soccer, softball, basketball, baseball, and golf — including 6 headed to Division I programs.

We celebrated 130 members of the Class of 2026. This senior class earned a Shrine Bowl nomination in football and a Clash of the Carolinas nomination in soccer. Four seniors represented West Ashley in North-South Games in Men’s Basketball and Men’s and Women’s Golf. Bella Bozard became the first West Ashley female golfer to earn this prestigious nomination.

To cap off an outstanding year, four coaches were named AAAAA Region 8 Coach of the Year: Coaches McLean, Garrett, Blake, and Macauley.

Thank you to our athletes, coaches, families, staff, and community for making this year unforgettable.

🎶🏆 The West Ashley High School Choral Program has been awarded the South Carolina Music Educators Association Choral Division Outstanding Performance Award for the 2025–2026 school year! 🏆 🎶

This is the highest annual state honor a choral program can receive and is a testament to the dedication, talent, and excellence demonstrated by our students and director throughout the year.

Congratulations to our talented singers and to Mr. Wald on this outstanding recognition!
