What a great Pep Rally for perseverance! After Terrific Turtle greeted the children, we sang a few songs and Mrs. Lavelle read a book about Bert the bird--You Can Do It , Bert- and how he persevered with help from his friends.

The Environmental and Education Division of the City of Charleston Recreation Department conducted an in-house field trip for our 4's classes today. The name of the program was Terrific Turtles! It was amazing!

The 5's led a Pep Rally on trustworthiness. It was amazing! There was a book, with children acting out the parts, and a video of the children being trustworthy at home and on vacations. What a wonderful experience! Thanks to Mrs. Robinson for the songs, also.

Reading is Fun

[03/19/19]   **Hooray for our students! They collected $715.46 for Pennies for Patients. I think that is an all time high for us. The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society is grateful for our participation in their program. Thanks, O'Quinn students and parents!**

Robin Rutherford, a science teacher from Porter-Gaud, visited with some 3 year olds yesterday and talked to them about the earth and the moon. She let them make "craters" on the moon with rocks and marbles. This is all part of the 3's study of the solar system.

A Visit to Miyabi Japanese Steakhouse

The Discovery class with teachers, parents, and children visited Miyabi Steakhouse one evening last week. As you can see by the pictures, a great time was had by everyone! I love the looks on some of the children's faces.
