THE STORY BEHIND THE TAILGATE

How did the One Bishop Homecoming Tailgate come to be? If there were a documentary about it, this is how it would look.

Join us Friday, October 23, from 5:15–7:15 PM before the big game for great food by Jamie Westendorf, a DJ, good friends, and plenty of Homecoming Spirit.

Gather with our other loyal tailgates on what we’re calling One Bishop Way. Leave the food to us and enjoy the tailgate with your family and friends!

Hosted by Triple B, the Parent Guild, and the Alumni Association. Get your tickets using the link below!

Last week, we welcomed Scott Auspelmeyer, Executive Director of the South Carolina Council on the Holocaust, as we received our permanent Holocaust Education Trunk. The trunk was delivered to Mr. Fontana’s Honors Holocaust and World War II class.

This meaningful resource was made possible through our English teacher, Kristi Ugland, and her SCCH Educator of Excellence Award. We are grateful for the opportunity to bring these important resources into our classrooms and provide our students with meaningful opportunities to learn about the Holocaust and its lasting impact.

Here’s a look back at last Friday’s John England Day! From celebrating our faith and traditions to bringing the entire BE community together, it was a day full of energy, joy and Bishop England pride!

Some would argue it’s the best day of the year here at BE, and we might have to agree!

Thank you to everyone who made John England Day so special.

We were thrilled to welcome Professor Stephen Gardner, Chair of Foundation Studies at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), to Bishop England. As part of a counseling office visit, Professor Gardner worked with our Honors Drawing students, leading an engaging lesson on portraiture and sharing his expertise in the world of art and design.

Our students had the opportunity to learn directly from a college professor and put their skills into practice, making this an inspiring experience that brought the college classroom to life.

Check out the class photos from this special visit!

Today, we celebrate the birthday of our namesake, Bishop John England! What a fitting day to reflect on his legacy and the mission that continues to guide our community.

Our Interim Head of School, Wanda Jaraczewski, shares an inspiring message as we launch our Let Us Rise and Build campaign for the Fund for Bishop England. Rooted in Nehemiah 2:18, the theme challenges us to embrace the call to strengthen our Bishop England community and build a brighter future.
