Another successful Future Family Medicine - AAFP in the books! 📚🎉 15 family medicine residency programs from across the state spent the weekend recruiting and networking as part of the South Carolina Booth Block at the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) national conference in Kansas City.

Join community partners on August 27 in Charleston, SC for a free, in-person Results-Based Accountability (RBA) Workshop. Learn how to use the RBA framework to measure community impact, strengthen partnerships, and improve program performance.

Completion of the online RBA module (or prior RBA certification) is required before attending, and eligible participants can earn continuing education credits.

🌟 A Full Circle Success Story! 🌟

Lowcountry AHEC is proud to recognize Dr. Casey Chubb for his ongoing commitment to medical education and rural healthcare.
As a MUSC medical student, Dr. Chubb completed his Family Medicine rotation with longtime Lowcountry AHEC preceptor Dr. John Creel, volunteered as a mentor for high school students through our Health Careers Program, and participated in our interprofessional learning opportunities.
Today, Dr. Chubb cares for patients at MUSC Occupational Health and Primary Care in Orangeburg and has come full circle by serving as a Lowcountry AHEC preceptor for third-year MUSC medical students during their Family Medicine rotation.
