The Citadel Financial Aid & Scholarships

It is the mission of the Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships to provide you with the optimal financial assistance while attending The Citadel.

[05/28/19]   Cost of Attendance (COA), is a confusing concept for everyone. Here is a description of COA from fafsa.ed.gov

The cost of attendance (COA) is not the bill that you may get from your college. The COA includes tuition and fees; on-campus room and board; and allowances for books, supplies, transportation, and loan fees

The following message is for upper class Citadel students. If you have graduated or are not returning in Fall 2019, please disregard this message.

IT'S THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN!!
The Citadel Office of Financial Aid and Scholarship has begun reviewing upper class student accounts for 2019-2020. During this time you may see partial awards posted to Lesesne Gateway. This process may take several weeks to complete. In the meantime please make sure your FAFSA is processed and review Lesesne Gateway for any missing information. If all those items have been complete please be patient. In order to complete this process as quickly as possible please refrain from contacting the office to inquire about missing awards. Once the awarding process is completed we will send award letter emails to each students citadel.edu email address.

Are you interested in earning money this summer working on campus between classes? If you are the Federal Work Study Program is a great option for you!

Q: What do you need to do to qualify?
A: In order to qualify you must have a 2018-19 and/or 2019-20 FAFSA completed.

If you are interested please contact our FWS Coordinator, Traci Singleton by emailing [email protected] with your Name and CWID to request information about the program

It’s that simple!

[05/06/19]   CONGRATULATIONS to Sally Levitt on her promotion to Assistant Director of Financial Aid for Veteran Services!!
You are such an advocate for all Veterans students at this school. NO ON deserves this more.
If you see Sally today be sure to offer her a CONGRATULATIONS and a HIGH FIVE!

[05/02/19]   The Financial Aid Office will soon begin reviewing student accounts for next years scholarships!!!

AWESOME RIGHT??

YES! if you have everything that is needed. Many of our Citadel Scholarships carry a NEED based component. That means:
NO FAFSA=NO SCHOLARSHIP.
(This is not true for all scholarships but why take that chance????)

Moral of this story: Please file your FAFSA at fafsa.ed.gov

WE HAVE EXTENDED THE UPPER CLASS SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION UNTIL THIS WEDNESDAY APRIL 17 AT 5PM!!!
