This flyer highlights our Student Group Rate — $350 covers registration for a group of 5 to 15 students plus one advisor. It is designed to put the conference within reach of schools that want to bring a team of young readers and leaders, not just a single representative. We will provide a simple lunch, with additional details to follow.

If you or your schools have questions about group registration, reach out to Hunter Shaffer at [email protected].

West Virginia Reading Association is looking for some folks to assist us during our November 19 and 20 during 70th conference "Today a Reader, Tomorrow a Leader"
We could use several host and or hostess to help direct folks around the conference center.

It’s not too late to join the West Virginia Reading Association Book Club! We are excited to read and discuss Oliver James’s inspiring memoir, Unread: A Memoir of Learning (and Loving) to Read on TikTok. Together, we will explore James’s literacy journey and consider what his experiences can teach us about reading, identity, perseverance, access, and the transformative power of literacy. Our book club will include two virtual meetings and one face-to-face gathering at the WVRA Conference:
Virtual Meeting 1: Chapters 1–8 — Wednesday, September 30, 2026, 7:00–7:30 p.m.
Virtual Meeting 2: Chapters 9–15 — Thursday, October 22, 2026, 7:00–7:30 p.m.
Meeting 3: Chapters 16–20 — In person at the WVRA Conference, Oglebay Park, Wheeling, WV, November 19–20, 2026. Specific session time will be shared once the conference schedule is finalized. Contact [email protected] to join.
