Drayton Hall Elementary School

We love our amazing teachers at DHES! Thank you for all you do!!
Greetings Bobcat Parents and Guardians, I am happy to let you know the dates of Fact and Fee and Parent Orientations for the coming school year. Fact and Fee has become overwhelming for all of our stakeholders over the past few years. We are trying a different format this year in hopes that it will be a more calm and informative process for everyone. Fact and Fee will be held in a drop-in format over these three days: Tuesday, August 7; Wednesday, August 8; and Thursday, August 9 from 8 am to 4 pm each day. You will be able to pay school fees ($30/student), find out your Bobcat’s teacher, get your car tag, and complete most school related paperwork. If you come for Fact and Fee and complete the normal “first day” paperwork there will be less form “filling out” for you on the first day of school!!!!! Who doesn’t want that????? Teachers are volunteering to come and assist the office staff on the three days, but your child’s teacher may not be at the school the particular day and time you come to visit. Because there is quite a bit of construction at the school, I am not able to provide a definite location for the Fact and Fees, but adequate signage will be provided to let you know where to park and enter the building. Parent Orientations are scheduled for the following times: 1st Grade – Tuesday, August 14 from 5:30 – 6:00pm 2nd Grade – Tuesday, August 14 from 6:00 – 6:30pm 3rd Grade – Tuesday, August 14 from 6:30 – 7:00pm 4th Grade – Wednesday, August 15 from 6:00 – 6:30pm 5th Grade – Wednesday, August 15 from 6:30 – 7:00pm Kindergarten – Thursday, August 16 from 6:00 – 7:00pm Child Development – Monday, August 20 from 6:00 – 7:00pm STUDENTS SHOULD NOT ATTEND THE PARENT ORIENTATIONS. THANK YOU FOR YOUR COOPERATION WITH THIS REQUIREMENT. TEACHERS WANT TO LET YOU KNOW WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW. There are different times for each grade level to assist parents with children at different grade levels. I Thank you to all of our Bobcat Family and we look forward to seeing you soon. Kindly, Brian Agnew
