This year’s Boosterthon Fun Run was a success! Our student’s had a blast helping raise money for our school and we even got to see Ms. Anderson get slimed. Fall picture packets are due!! The picture packages that went home a few weeks ago are not pre-paid packages. The entire package or parts of the package need to be returned to school if they are not being purchased. The entire package is $45 or you may choose to pay for individual sheets and just return the rest. You can also order online at strawbridge.net. The online order code is # 109155.

Keenan Bunton demonstrated some Bobcat pride at the Tarheel Tango 2018 in Chapel Hill, NC on October 13th. Keenan competed in the 3 by 3, 2 by 2, 4 by 4, skewb and pyraminx competitions. His personal best, and the one he's most proud of, was a 3 by 3 completed in just 19 seconds! Keenan cannot wait for his next competition on 11/3/18 at Trident Technical College. He has been practicing like crazy and even improved his best times in preparation for next weekend!

School Art Program Fundraiser Information:
This fall, our school is participating in a unique fundraising program with Art to Remember that gives you the opportunity to purchase keepsake items with your child's artwork on them. The best part is that every keepsake order supports the art program at our school.

Tuesday, May 1 (tomorrow), starting at 5:30, is our Kindergarten Rodeo! If your child will be starting Kindergarten in the fall of 2018, come out and take a tour, meet the teachers, and register your child!

The ART show and Carnival are next Saturday, April 21!! Come see some fabulous one of a kind artworks by all the students at Drayton Hall! You can purchase your child's artwork in an awesome gallery style frame for $28. All proceeds support the art program at DHES. If you can't make the show, don't worry! You can pre-order your child's framed artwork and Mrs. Espiritu will set it aside and send it home with your child. Just send in the pre-order form by Friday, April 20.
Today these 5th Grade Bobcats participated in a math tournament, led by Corrie Glover. While they did not place, they worked really hard and dedicated part of their Saturday to represent DHES! We are incredibly proud of these students! GOOOOOOOOOO BOBCATS!!!

Slushies and Popcorn will be available to purchase after field day events for $1 per item! Proceeds go to purchase new equipment for PE!
Box Tops are turned in twice a year, in March and in November. Thanks to your collection and dedication to turning in those Box Tops, DHES Library earned $916 to spend on new books. Keep collecting (especially over the summer) and let's see if we can earn even more for the November collection!
