Drama Club is open to all interested 4th and 5th grade students at Drayton Hall Elementary. Students do not need to be identified as Gifted and Talented in the Arts (GTR) to participate - Mrs. Wald will help them with the identification process.
This is a wonderful opportunity for students who enjoy acting, singing, dancing, and performing. The link to sign up is in the comments!

š¶ Drayton Hall Families, we need your help! š¶
Please take a moment to follow the NEW Drayton Hall Elementary PTO page and help us spread the word by sharing it with other Bobcat families!
Our PTO is an incredible partner to our school and is truly *instrumental* (š) to the success of our music program. Thanks to their generosity, they have purchased all of the music for our student performances this year, ensuring our Bobcats have high-quality repertoire to learn, perform, and enjoy.

Our mission as the PTO is to serve our school by encouraging volunteerism, supporting educational excellence, fostering school spirit, and building lasting partnerships between families, educators, and the community.

šØ Calling all Charleston-area 3D printing makers! š¶šØļø
I have a fun challenge for you!
Hi friends! Mrs. Wald here from Drayton Hall Elementary School. š This year, thanks to a generous grant from the Toshiba America Foundation, our music classroom is getting a class set of pBuzz instruments, and I cannot wait to introduce our Bobcats to brass playing!
Hereās where I need your helpā¦
Our instruments came with 30 mouthpieces (which is amazing!), but Iād love for each child (ideally, grades 3rd-5th) to have their own mouthpiece instead of sharing. (My dishwasher and water bill will appreciate this, too! š)
š” Iām looking for anyone with a 3D printer who would be willing to print āsmall-shank trombone mouthpiecesā (any color!) to help grow our classroom set. Store-bought mouthpieces cost about $10 each, so if we can print them instead, that means we can put even more resources directly into our studentsā music education.
If you have a printer, know someone who does, or belong to a local makerspace, Iād love to hear from you! Please comment below, send me a message, or tag someone who might be interested. Even sharing this post could help it reach the right person!
Our Drayton Hall Bobcats and I would be incredibly grateful. ā¤ļøšµ
šø Hereās a picture from last weekās Modern Band Summit, where I spent the week learning new instruments, songs, and teaching ideas to bring back to my students this year. I canāt wait to see what theyāll accomplish!
