Good morning, Capabilities Community!

We have been eagerly anticipating the day when we can safely resume in-person sessions, and we're excited to announce that it is just around the corner! Before that happens, we want to share with you all the safety precautions we will be taking, as well as what we request our families contribute to help keep our learning environment safe, clean, and effective.

- Parents are encouraged to drop students off and pick them up at the end of their sessions. You may enter the building in order to provide payment to services rendered, but otherwise we request that you remain in the parking lot so that we limit occupancy per CDC's guidelines.
- All practitioners will be masked, and we ask that all students do the same. Once you arrive, please keep your mask on for the entirety of your session. (This means that you will need to snack before or after your session!)
- Temperatures will be taken at the door with a no-touch thermometer.
- Hand washing stations and hand sanitizer will be available and we ask that each student who comes in wash his/her hands thoroughly before beginning.
- Indoor stations will be socially distanced—at least six feet apart.
- We will also be offering socially distanced outdoor sessions.
- We have purchased a medical-grade UV-C lamp that kills any bacteria and viruses in the air; we will be using this in both rooms.
- We also have a UV-C wand which will be waved over all surfaces that are touched by students, practitioners, or staff.

We know this list might seem a bit daunting, but it puts us in great spirits, because it means we can bring our community back together in person! If you have questions about these guidelines, please do not hesitate to let us know. Of course, we are flexible to continue virtual sessions when needed.

Meet Valerie Keller (you may know her as "Val Junior")! Valerie has been with us since 2015 and has worked with students of all ages, across many subject areas and ability levels.

As it is now college application season, we wanted to make you aware of the services Valerie offers (she conducts sessions remotely via Zoom)!

-Subject area tutoring: English, French, humanities (social studies, psychology, etc.)
-Academic/creative writing instruction at all levels
-SAT/ACT/GRE Writing Preparation
-College application advising & personal statement support

(She is also happy to provide references from parents to make you feel comfortable.) She can't wait to meet you—or, for our beloved returning students, to work with you again!
