The VIPs are doing a FLASH sale for mums from Gritt’s Greenhouse! Orders are due by this coming Tuesday on August 25th. If you’d like to order you can reach out to Mr. Rose at [email protected] with your order information and phone number, or you may see any member of the VIPs.

Payments are due at the time of ordering. Mums will be delivered no later than September 8th. Checks should be made out to VIP Choral Boosters. If you wish to pay online, you can scan the QR code on the flyer. If you’d like your order to support a specific student, you can indicate that when you pay. If you don’t have a specific student that you’d like to support just list greatest need.

Capital swim team will have its first parent/swimmer meeting of the year next Friday. Please plan to come out and meet Coach Williams. If you can’t make it or have questions prior please contact Coach with the number on the flyer. See you next week.

Today's the first day of school for our Kanawha County students — and we want to make sure every one of them has what they need to succeed.

This year we're raising funds for the Capital Cougar Community Closet, providing students at Capital High with clothes, food, and hygiene products when they need them most. Our goal is $5,000 and we need you to make it happen!

We're also partnering again with 2nd Avenue Community Center to offer hot dinners throughout the week and homework buddies for K-5 students throughout the year. Meal teams will provide a meal for 25 people once a month, and homework buddies serve one time a week.

You can help — whether that's giving financially or volunteering your time. Every bit makes a difference for a kid starting their year today.

If you weren’t able to join the VIPs for auditions during the spring or over the summer, it’s not too late to join! We will be having a round of auditions for CHS students interested in joining the group this year on Tuesday, August 25th at 4:00 PM in Room 322 (choir room).
