Our beloved Webb cook "Hannah" as the children called her has left this earth, but continues to look over our children & us from the heavens above. We are sad by the thought that you are no longer here, but happy that you are no longer in pain. We will miss all of the fussing, seafood & crab conversations, mac & cheese that will ruin any diet, cornbread that melted in your mouth, and a turkey so moist that we will never be able to duplicate! The children are tolerating my cooking, but it will never hold a candle to yours. Thank you for feeding the children & staff at the Charles Webb Center. The spark will be lost from the eyes of the Executive Director Evelyn Turner Disabilities Board of Charleston over your mac & cheese. I know that everyone is sad, but don't be sad, we will forever remember you "Hannah" through our stories & memories.❤❤❤

THANK YOU Ryan Padgett Holy City Sports League for being the best Santa and bringing us these wonderful uniform shirts for everyone! We appreciate you always thinking of us😘

Yoga On The Lawn!
A group of wonderful ladies got together on Saturday for a 2.2 mile morning walk and then a gentle 45 minute yoga class instructed by Kristen Kos. Followed by Mimosas and Morsels… on the lawn!
Participants were stretching out to support the Charles Webb Center, a non-profit childcare center for children who have special needs. Yoga on The Lawn is in collaboration with the Avondale5K which is the Center’s largest fund raiser. This year’s 5K is a virtual 5K run and challenge that lasts the entire month of October. For more information or to sign up visit https://runsignup.com/Race/SC/Charleston/AvondaleFiveK
Yoga on The Lawn raised over $2,000 for the Center!
Thanks Kathy and ladies! You ROCK!!!

[09/29/20]   Hi All,
Our numbers are terribly low for this event. It is the sole fundraiser for the Charles Webb Center. At this time last year we had 571 people signed up. Today we have 36 and one is me!
PLEASE share with all of your social media contacts and make a plea for support (financial, participation and sharing).
THANKS from Evelyn and all the wonderful children at the Charles Webb Center.

[04/08/20]   Good afternoon parents, the CWC will remain closed thru 05/1/2020. We do apologize for the inconvenience during these trying times. We will continue to follow the recommendations of our local & state government in order to make the best decisions concerning our kids & staff, but we are also looking into ways to safely serve our community. I will be contacting families in the next week to gather information. I will continue to update you via the Remind text message system & Facebook. Please stay safe families.

Video: How to make a mask using a bandana or cloth

A message from Evelyn Ash Turner:

The CDC is now recommending the American public wear a face covering when they go out in public.

Authorities do not want masks to give you a false sense of protection. They say they will not protect you from getting COVID-19, but they will keep you from spreading it if you do have it but happen to be asymptomatic.

COVID-19 is believed to be spread through droplets in the air from mucus or saliva. The face covering creates a barrier, lessening exposure if you sneeze or cough.

Here is a quick and easy way to make your own face covering by Dr Jerome Adams, U.S. Surgeon General

It is with great sadness to announce to those of you who may not know, that the Webb family has lost one of our own over the weekend. Ms. Michelle, we will forever miss your contagious humor and warm smile. You were always ready to lend a helping hand and never far away from hearing a funny joke😊. All of our hearts are so heavy today, but we know that this too shall pass. Please keep everyone in your prayers.🙏🙏
