We have had a fun few weeks! During spring break we harvested vegetables from our garden and made all kinds of delicious treats to share with the students and teachers. This past week we went to see The Three Little Pigs and splashed in the rain!

We had a fantastic week learning about fairy tales complete with retelling baskets, sensory tables, dressing up and dancing at the ball, and our new favorite storywalk: Falling for Rapunzel

Our wee lads and lassies enjoyed learning about St. Patrick's Day this week!

We had a "Roar-Some" week learning about dinosaurs!!

100th day celebration, a storywalk and taking care of bears... oh my!

We had so much fun learning about dental health! Ms. Suzanne from Palmetto Kids in Summerville was awesome for presenting to the big kids! We enjoyed lots of tooth books, flossing legos, making toothpaste slime (Pinterest FAIL!), pretending to be a dentist, tooth games, and science experiments!

Our children learned about nocturnal animals and sweet dreams complete with a pajama day and an owl pellet dissection!

We had an awesome week leading up to Christmas! The Polar Express, Grinch games, a visit from Santa- what fun! Hope you and your family had an awesome Christmas!

Another fun week at CTCDC!! We learned all about Hanukkah, had a fun storywalk, made gingerbread houses, went on a gingerbread hunt, and gave presents to our favorite readers!

This week was out of this world!! We created moon paintings, ate astronaut food, made rockets, and also went on an awesome field trip!

Happy Thanksgiving!! We had a blast kicking off this season and hope y'all have a great holiday!!

Fun Halloween week! We had a parade and our storywalk was Where the Wild Things Are!

What a great week it was! A field trip to the Pumpkin patch, pumpkin slime, pumpkin experiments, and a storywalk!

Fire Safety week was a blast! Thank you to St. Andrew's Fire Department and our heroes from the City of Charleston Fire Department!

We had a fun, messy week learning about the farm! We also had fun at game day!

We had a colorful week learning about shapes and colors!!

Our first week of school was fantastic!!

What a fun week!! We had our last field trip of the summer, another fun water day, and celebrated our first year with a carnival! The pre-k class ran their own booths and the toddlers and walkers enjoyed the games! Everyone got cotton candy and their faces painted!

What a week! We learned all about our beautiful city, met local author, Jonathan Miller, and had a RAD story walk! Our field trip this week was a treasure hunt at Hampton Park!

Yee Haw, we had a hoot this week! We made salsa with tomatoes from our garden, had a hoedown, and a visit to JICP for a presentation on reptiles in the Lowcountry!

Shark week certainly didn't bite! We had the Bookmobile visit, sang Baby Shark, dyed water beads for a fun sensory table, went shark tooth hunting, and had fun STEM activities!

Our 4th of July week went off with a BANG!

T-Ball and bowling and tennis and corn hole and soccer, oh my! Sports week sure was a hit!! The preschoolers went on a field trip to the Lenevar Playground to show off the skills they learned during the week. We also had a mermaid tail race, because, why not?!

On top of our RAD (read all day) we were also busy cooking up a storm! We made pickles, sherbet, and ice cream and helped make lunches for the week- what fun!! Our field trip this week was a behind the scene tour to Cicis- we learned how they make pizza and we made our own...YUM!

We had a RAD storywalk! We're Going on a Bear Hunt was the best yet!

What a week! We had our first visit of many from the Bookmobile, blueberry picking, messy STEM activities, donuts with dads and a dance party!

A week inspired by Piccolo Spoletto included learning some new dance moves, creative art, a field trip to see a live play, building robots to create art, making and performing finger puppet shows, and water days!!

Our first week of summer went off with a splash! We painted with bubbles, worked on preschool skills, conducted science experiments, practiced yoga, played games, practiced yoga, played at water day and enjoyed our field trip to James Island County Park Spray Play!

What an awesome day for a graduation! The children did an amazing job and our preschool teacher, Ms. Tatum prepared them well!! They are ready to rock Kindergarten!!
