One of our CTCDC littles, Lincoln, was recently diagnosed with leukemia, and to support him, we're having a blood drive. Please come out Thursday, March 31st from 3-8pm in our school parking lot, 1521 Wappoo Drive. The church across the street gave permission for overflow parking if needed.
A donation to the Hollings Cancer Center will be given in honor of Lincoln and each blood donor will be given a $25 e-gift card, which if you feel inclined, please match the donation on the go-fund-me page.

CTCDC hockey night- let's go Rays!!

Valentine's day week was filled with lots of love! We also celebrated our 100th day of school by dressing up like 100 year olds!

Polar Animals and Habitat week was so cool!! โ๏ธ๐งโ๏ธ
Sweet Dreams and Mitten weeks were jam packed with lessons on equality, peace, love as well as wintry fun: ice skating, a Storywalk and lots of snow play!

This time of year we have so much to celebrate!! The children learned about Hanukkah and took a trip to learn about holidays around the world!! We had a special guest: Ms. Rebecca read to the children and brought yummy Sufganiyah! We had a storywalk- Shmelf the Hanukkah Elf and ate latkes! Among other fun, the 4k class made and ate fairy bread as customary in Australia!
We are so thankful for our little turkeys, our sweet families and our AMAZING teachers!!
Fall is in the air!! We had fun sensory tables, a Storywalk and the 4k class took a trip to Charles Towne Landing!
A week about our bodies and germs included special readers: Ginny and Whitney ๐๐ฉโโ๏ธ๐โ, dramatic play, looking at bones on the light table, making soap, using a microscope, learning how to keep our germs to ourselves and some silly sensory tables!

We had the most fun Halloween week!! Thank you to Pinecrest Baptist Church for always letting us trick-or-treat!
Not only did the children learn about how to stay safe in an emergency, but they got to meet real life hero's! Thanks again to Adrien, Rob and Justin (three of our very own dads) who came out to do a safety show!! We also had another dad, Justin who is a hockey player for the South Carolina Stingrays come out with Cool Ray! What. A. Week!!!
CTCDC kids are out of this world!! We blasted off to Mars, had lots of planet sensory fun (including one yummy one), went on alphabet and moon rock hunts, ate astronaut ice cream, made moon art, listened to a book read from outer space, and much more! ๐จโ๐๐๐ธ

Last week was our first week of school! Buses, art, school supplies and FUN!
*We did not take the toddlers anywhere on the bus- they just got on and wanted to get buckled in!*
To prepare for the big day, our teachers worked so hard to clean, organize, and get the rooms ready for a new year!

Love where you live!! We learned all about our beautiful city, ate some "pluff mud" and the 4k class got to enjoy one of our most beautiful parks for our last summer field trip- Plymouth Park on JI!
Ice cream week sure was sweet!! There was a lot of rain, but we were still were to sneak in the fun with messy masterpieces and a Storywalk indoors!!! ๐จ๐ฆ
Sports week was a great kickoff to the Olympics!! There was jumping, skating, kicking, jumping and learning! โฝ๏ธ๐๐โพ๏ธ๐พ๐๐ธ๐
Rodeo week was full of horse ridin' learnin' to milk a cow and we had a hollarin' good time dancin' at the hoedown! The 3k class also had messy art day- painting with ice!!

Camping week included dramatic play, yummy sensory activities, roasting marshmallows, a scavenger hunt on the playground and a treasure hunt at Hampton Park!!

Art week included so many fun ways for the children to express themselves! We also had an awesome field trip to Brittlebank park where we got to see and touch crabs!
