Our 3-week contest run culminated last evening with a performance at Region 8 Marching Assessment where the Tiger Band earned a Division 2 rating of “Excellent.” I tell you what, we’re tired of this hot weather and we’re ready to rehearse some Christmas tunes now! 😊🎶

Yesterday the Charleston Band traveled to Spiro, OK to compete in the “Rumble In the River Valley” marching competition. It was a grueling, HOT 🥵, day. The Tiger Band finished prelims in FIRST place for our division, as well as best drum major, and best percussion for our division!

The Tiger Band finished in a respectable 5th place overall in finals, competing against bands from all divisions. We are very proud of the band members for persevering through a very long day, and for tackling the task of our first prelim/finals competition. Way to go, Tiger Band!
