Those aren't just fun questions—they're part of the Ages & Stages Questionnaire (ASQ-3), a nationally recognized developmental screening tool that helps us monitor each child's growth and development.

At C.A.R.E. Academy, we complete the ASQ-3 twice each school year for every child. Why? Because children grow so quickly, and we want to celebrate their progress while identifying any areas where they may need a little extra support.

Watching our friends jump from stepping stones, climb over obstacles, ride trikes, crawl, push, pull, and explore isn't "just recess." It's intentional learning!

These activities strengthen: 🌟 Gross motor skills 🌟 Balance and coordination 🌟 Core muscle strength 🌟 Body awareness 🌟 Confidence and independence

✂️ Snip, snip... one cut at a time! ✂️
To little hands, this may look like cutting paper. To us, it's preparing for a lifetime of writing, creating, and learning.
Today our 2's and 3's were hard at work practicing their cutting skills. Learning to use scissors isn't just an art activity—it strengthens the small muscles in the hands and fingers that children need to hold a pencil, write their name, button a coat, zip a jacket, and complete countless everyday tasks.
As they cut, they're also developing: ✂️ Hand strength and coordination ✂️ Bilateral coordination (using both hands together) ✂️ Hand-eye coordination ✂️ Focus and concentration ✂️ Independence and confidence
