Our favorite day of the year...MOVE IN DAY!! Welcome to the EIU residence halls panthers! We are here with open arms to help you out today. A few reminders for the day:

💙 Follow the signs on campus and utilize the maps to get to your residence hall.
💙 Do not leave cars parked in unapproved areas or blocking drive for extended periods of time. Unload everything and then find a parking spot.
💙 For assistance with your items, locate an EIU Panther Pal (they have on cute shirts).
💙 Please be patient with our staff. They will assist you as quickly as possible. We know your excited...so are we!!
💙 Please be patient on the elevators, the traffic in the hallways, stairwells, etc.. If you can take the stairs, go for it!
💙When unpacking, be mindful of your roommates objects or their side of the room.
💙Be mindful of how you configure your room and make sure you have enough hands to loft your bed.
💙 Keep your room/door/floor keys with you at all times!
💙 Once everything is in your room, if it's too much, send it home with your family. Fall break isn't that far away and you can always bring items back with you.
💙 Throw your trash away in the approved receptacles.
💙 Don't forget to hug your friends/family before they leave!

🌞💙 Tomorrow is the big day...Move-In 2026!!!! We waited all summer to see you again!

Make sure you have checked your email for move-in instructions, room set up guidance, directions and more! Since we have a bit of construction on campus, make sure to take note of the maps provided. Signs on campus will help direct you to your designated location and once you're there, our staff will help you with the check-in process. We have large totes and Panther Pals here to help you load items from your car to your residence hall.

Once moved in, don't forget to get a ride to Textbook Rentals to pick up your books. After that, it's time to get Welcome Weekend started! We can't wait to see you!🌞💙
