I read about your "Gentlemen's Club" sponsored by Raymond Nelson and love the idea! Is there any way an outsider could help or contribute to this amazing program? I am a Florida Resident so I can't help firsthand but would like to help promote or contribute to this program. This is exactly what our schools need to help our children. Thank you for what you are doing!

Congratulations to Ms. Debra Vann on her retirement from CCSD! Debra Vann bravely started Memminger’s three year old program with me in 2008. I knew nothing about teaching three year olds and Debra Vann was my saving grace. I will never be able to express how much her friendship, support, and guidance has meant to me. Her sweet nature and calm demeanor made her such a wonderful teacher for our youngest students! Congratulations on your retirement Debra! 32 years! You have made a difference in the lives of so many children...and mine! Memminger will miss you! Love you dear friend!❤️

Hi Mariners,
No one wants to get the flu,so let’s make sure everyone is vaccinated with the FLU shot this year!!!
Due to Covid -19 we are unable to hold traditional school vaccine clinic for the flu vaccine...however I am posting 3 clinics for students on November 6 and 7.
If you can’t make this clinic, call your provider and schedule your shot or visit a local pharmacy for administration

Welcome back, Memminger Family! Below is some information for tomorrow. We can't wait to see you.

A Message for Memminger Families!

Hello Memminger families! I’m Dottie Brown, principal of Memminger IB World School, and it is my pleasure to work with you and your families this year. I want to start by saying how much we appreciate your patience, as we have navigated many of the unexpected twists and turns this summer. Thank you for sticking with us while we have developed our plan, so that we can answer your questions, and formulate a path forward.

With that being said, I want to share with you our plan for our upcoming LEAP days. From August 31st to September 4th, we will be bringing small groups of students back to the building. During that week, your student will be invited to the school on two different days (either Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday), for a brief introduction to the upcoming school year. They will have an opportunity to meet their teachers, and learn about the safety measures being taken at the school. Students will also be given a benchmark assessment in Math and Reading, so that we will have a better understanding of their current academic levels. While students are with their teachers, we are inviting one guardian from each family to join us in the gym, for an orientation and Q & A session. As you enter the building, please make sure that you are wearing your mask. For the safety of you and others, it is a CCSD requirement to wear a mask while on campus. We will also ensure that there is enough space for appropriate social distance at all times during your visit.

At the end of your student’s second day, it is our goal to pass out instructional packets, including iPads and Chromebooks, for each student. However, that is solely dependent upon our families bringing back those devices that were borrowed last Spring. If you haven’t already done so, please return your device as soon as possible.

This is going to be a great year, and I am so excited to be a part of your student’s academic journey. Thank you again for your patience, and for trusting us with your child’s educational experience. We will be mailing out invites with your family’s specific dates, later this week. Be on the lookout for it! We look forward to seeing you the week of August 31st!

Hi Mariner parents , we are getting excited for the new school year to begin. Please check with your pediatrician or health clinic about your child’s vaccine status. Remember in coming kindergarten children will require the hepatitis A series(usually given beginning at age 1) in addition to the required vaccines at age 4..also, all parents please check with your pediatrician that your Hepatitis b vaccine status is up to date ...see you all very soon!!!!😄
