Providing voice lessons, vocal coachings, and piano lessons in the Johns Island area and via Skype/FaceTime. Sarah Snydacker, the owner of Sea Island Music Studio, is a very accomplished musician and scholar.
She operated her studio in Iowa City for 15 years before recently moving to Johns Island. Having earned undergraduate degrees in vocal performance and music education, a MFA in vocal performance, and a PhD in vocal literature and performance, she brings a level of expertise to her lessons that is unmatched in the Charleston area. Offering both piano and voice lessons, Sarah is known for accessible lessons, and she enjoys teaching all kinds of students. She happy to work with students of all ages, levels and abilities. Let her help you unlock your singing and playing potential to make beautiful music. Voice lessons: Everyone can learn to sing! And everyone can learn to sing better. Sarah has been helping people do just that for over 15 years. She gears her lessons toward each individual student's needs, wants, and goals. She is comfortable teaching a wide variety of styles because she believes that healthy singing, regardless of the style, comes from a strong foundation of proper technique. Whether classical, pop, jazz or musical theater, she works with students to create a healthy, effective, and unique sound. Piano lessons: Piano lessons are geared toward each student's goals. Sarah is happy to teach any style of music, and she believes the foundations of effective playing can be taught through all music. Sarah uses sight-reading, technique work, improvisation, ear training, and educational games in combination with the study of individual pieces in her lessons.
Mission: The mission of Sea Island Music Studio is to bring high quality piano and voice lessons to the Johns Island Area. At SIMS, the students will have fun, educational, and effective lessons that help to develop musicians of any age.
