As the Season is upon us and we look forward to a New Year, we reflect on how much love and support we receive from our partners, parents, directors, school districts and young artists. Nothing really sums up our gratitude as much as receiving such an amazing email from one of our parents:

I just wanted to thank you for teaching my children how to create and celebrate art. We love everything that they bring home. All 3 of our kids have enjoyed your class for many different reasons, and I love that you cater to each one's different passions.

Our entire 3rd floor is dedicated to the art that has been created, and I wanted to share that with you!

We wish you all the best in the New Year 💚

Wee Little Arts, Inc.

We are celebrating our 20th year in business! The best gift we can give is growth and the opportunity for children, all around the country, to experience the program. We are looking for 10 new franchise partners at HALF THE FRANCHISE COST. If you, or anyone you know, would love this dream opportunity, please click below and/or share this post.

If you love what you do, you'll never work a day in your life.
- Confucius

When I founded Wee Little Arts 20 years ago, I had been teaching in the classroom for 7 years.

As teachers, our work is about making a difference and sharing our passion, it's about helping our students grow, develop skills and encouraging self expression and creativity.

While teaching, it became clear that my students had been under-served in the development of fine motor skills, critical thinking skills and creativity that a solid early arts education encourages. 💪

💡Then I started thinking...

💭What if there was a way to partner with schools giving children exposure to the best possible arts education? 🎨

💭How could I create something that would empower the educator to make an impact on their community while creating a fulfilling and rewarding work/life balance?

Well...

Now with over 100 schools and THOUSANDS of children coming through our program, that dream became a reality.

👉In celebration of our 20th year, we are reducing our franchise fee by HALF for the next 10 new partners! 🎉

We are actively seeking passionate professionals to partner with us in delivering this superior experience to children across the county. Wee Little Arts classes are offered in schools, libraries, community centers and other convenient locations, freeing franchise partners from the responsibility of securing and maintaining a commercial space.

Moreover, the Wee Little Arts model offers unparalleled flexibility for the owner to grow, adjust and meet life’s demands while operating a successful, independent business. No other business even comes close to the personal rewards, margin, and fantastic schedule as being an owner operator.

General information

Our first priority is providing a rock-solid educational experience for each of our students and encouraging the development of skills that will benefit them in their future academic and personal endeavors. It is also why parents and school administrators rave about the program and students return year after year to participate in each unique course. Using art history and age-appropriate children’s literature, students are exposed to a wide range of visual art concepts as guided by the detailed curriculum. By offering a valuable enrichment to a child’s academic development, Wee Little Arts has proven itself to be a recession-proof home-based business that parents prioritize even in a down economy. Art has the innate ability to inspire, relate, and lift the soul, so much so, that without art education, a child’s ability to relate to the world around them becomes severely limited, as do their chances to live to their full potential. It is the goal of Wee Little Arts to give children the creative voices that are being silenced in schools around the country. With over a decade of acclaim from parents and preschool administrators, we are now expanding our network of providers to offer arts education to children across the country. We are actively seeking passionate professional franchise partners to join with us in delivering this superior experience to children and parents. “No other business even comes close to the personal rewards, margin, and fantastic schedule as being an owner operator." We are looking for passionate individuals who share a belief in the creative potential of children and are willing to work to further that growth. The unquantifiable benefits of such an experience are enormous and visible in our results – our franchise partners truly love what they do. ********************************************** " In 1999, elementary art teacher Melissa Bradshaw hit the drawing board after noticing that her pint-sized pupils were arriving at kindergarten without adequate critical thinking and fine motor skills. Her finished creation? Wee Little Arts, a supplemental program to help preschoolers tap their inner artistes while having fun, developing self-confidence, and molding imaginations. And though the program is designed for three to five year olds, the curriculum is anything but basic. During eight-week sessions, elements of art, drawing, painting, and three-dimensional learning fly at participants like paint on a Po***ck canvas. From drawing oil pastel portraits to forming clay pots, these mini masters discover a well-rounded comprehension of art and leave class with grins on their faces and arms full of colorful projects. " Recently, Bradshaw has been expanding beyond her current locations (Charleston, South Carolina; Charlottesville, Virginia; Northern New Jersey, Nashville TN, Austin TX, Little Rock AR) and into franchises all over the nation. “Since starting Wee Little Arts,” she says, “I have always wanted to share the program with children around the world.” Now that’s what we call creative vision." Where can Wee Little Arts take you? ********************************************** The Experts, and what they are saying! People who engage in the arts on a weekly basis enjoy a stronger sense of community, feel better emotionally, and experience a higher quality of life than those who do not. Alex Michalos Phd Head Researcher at University of Northern British Columbia Tomorrow’s scientists and engineers need grounding in the arts to stimulate their curiosity and creativity – to help them perceive the world in new and different ways. Morris Tannenbaum, - Executive, AT&T The arts teach children that problems can have more than one solution and that questions can have more than one answer. "Ten Lessons the Arts Teach" - written by Elliot Eisner and commissioned by the National Art Education Association in 2000 Drawings are an invaluable aid to my mathematical thinking and an essential ingredient of most of my mathematical expositions. Sir Roger Penrose - British mathematician, Author and Relativist There have been some exciting new developments shedding light on linkages between the arts, brain development and academic success. The research in educational psychology have revealed surprising evidence validating the positive effect that art has on young learners ranging from increased math and reading scores to improvements in general cognitive abilities and social development. The basics for understanding any concept can be delivered through art. Art programs grounded in education research emphasize the orderly progression of concept development. Kenneth A. Wesson - Educational Consultant and Writer “Got Art?”, 2006 The facts are that arts education teaches children the skills necessary to succeed in life, including developing perceptions, articulating a vision, learning to solve problems and make decisions, increasing self-confidence and self-discipline, developing the ability to imagine what might be and the responsibility to complete tasks from start to finish. Americans for the Arts Art education programs can help repair weakness in American education and better prepare workers for the 21st century. Richard Gurin - President & CEO, Binney & Smith, Inc A study of after-school programs for disadvantaged youth found that students engaged in the arts achieved more academically and personally than similar students not involved in after-school activities. The arts students outperformed peers who participated in sports, community involvement, and academic after-school programs as well. National Education Association Realizing the centrality of arts for learning is important not only for teachers and school administrators, but for parents, and for society at large. Often when budget cuts loom, a levy doesn’t pass, or a wage dispute arises, schools begin to cut out the arts. Since they are so much fun, there is an assumption that the arts are less important. However, the findings of neuroscience now allow us to defend our belief in their value. We may even see change in society at large, and see learning increase because of it. James Zull - Director of the University Center for Innovation in Teaching and Education at Case Western Reserve University If you can draw, even a little bit, you can express all kinds of ideas that might otherwise be lost – delights, frustrations, whatever torments you or pleases you. David Hockney, British Artist To young children, drawing is as natural an activity as running and playing but, as we grow and develop, in general we drop the drawing - why? It's sad that so many people lose this ability: for me, drawing has always been a natural form of expression. Gerald Scarfe Gerald Scarfe, Celebrated British Satirical Cartoonist and Artist
