Dayton is always bitter sweet as its the final show of "summer". There are early mornings and late nights and total exhaustion by the end but it is always memorable ans so much fun.

Jadakiss and Maurice Matson had their best ride yet and were a strong reserve in the Amateur 5 Gaited Championship. This team is going to be so much fun to watch in the future!

A Billion Memories and Lindsey Lawrence had a thrilling victory for her 17th birthday and then finished as Open English Pleasure Reserve Grand Champions in Saturday.

Octavia Dorsey had 2 more great rides and finished 2nd and 1st in the 7&under Academy Walk Trot divisions. She is small but mighty and can ride a horse!

Admiral Davis and JD Lawrence ended the show with a 5-Gaited Championship ride and has us dreaming about the green shavings.

The 2026 Heartland Classic came fast and furious this season and our customer group had lots of laughs to accompany their great rides. The academy crew had quite the show bringing home 3 blues, 2 reds, 2 yellows and 1 green out of 8 rides. Each rider has worked so hard this winter and spring and it showed.

The performance side of the barn also had great success in huge classes! Several of our new teams showed lots of improvement and we are already looking forward to the next show. Special mention goes to our class champions:

Rylan Cunningham - 2nd and 3rd in Academy 14-17 WTC in her cantering debut and first time showing in 2 seasons! Way to ride !

Scarlett Fisher - Academy 11-13 WT Pleasure Champion
