Congratulations to Dr. Brian Bossak, Associate Professor in the Department of Health & Human Performance, who has been awarded the Fulbright Lectureship in Public Health at the University of Bologna!
He will teach two graduate level courses in health-related topics and conduct research on the development of quarantine and isolation in Italy during the Black Death and later waves of plague.

With great classrooms for all of our educational lessons, along with a campus that is full of history and exploration all around, it is the perfect place to give our students the best experience.

A First Year Experience class spent the semester reading anti-racist, inclusive, and equitable children’s literature, while studying state standards and social justice standards. As a culminating experience, they created a website to highlight their learning to share with educators; check out their amazing work!

Schooled! Anti-racist, Inclusive, & Equitable Literature for Kids “In diversity there Is BEAUTY and there is STRENGTH” This website was designed to curate anti-racist, anti-biased, equitable, and inclusive children's literature. Throughout this class, we read children's/teen literature appropriate for K-12, including children's picture books and chapter books.
