The Charleston Christian School partners with Christian families and their churches to teach knowledge, wisdom, and values from a Christian perspective.

Throughout the course of the day, students are encouraged to think, wonder, and reflect. We believe that all truth comes from God, and students here discover God's world and Word. Students are encouraged to think critically and examine ideas in literature, science, and and culture. Is it noble? Is it beautiful? Is it true? As students ponder these questions, teachers point them to the Creator.

Learning is a little more fun with shaving cream! Our K5 students practiced forming letters and numbers by tracing them right on their desks with their fingers. After mastering number and letter shapes, they put their skills to the test by practicing writing their names. Who knew a little shaving cream could make learning letters and numbers so much fun? 💙

Science came to life in 4th grade! Our students have been learning all about insects, and they got the chance to bring in some of their own fascinating finds to share with their classmates. From creepy crawlers to unique little creatures, our classrooms were buzzing with excitement as students observed, explored, and showed off what they discovered. We love seeing students turn their curiosity into hands-on learning, even if some of them did not love this project.

Our 6th graders took their annual trip to Camp St. Christopher for a day of team building, encouragement, and connection as they continue their journey into middle school. Through a variety of activities and challenges, students had the opportunity to step outside their comfort zones, work together, and grow stronger as a class. We love watching these students build friendships, learn to rely on one another, and discover what they can accomplish together!

Yesterday, during Bible class, our middle school students gathered around the flagpole for See You at the Pole as part of the Global Day of Student Prayer. Mr. Bednar led the time of prayer, and students followed with prayers for their school, local, and global communities.
We are incredibly thankful for the freedom we have in our country to gather and pray, and we are especially grateful for the unique opportunity we have as a Christian school to pray together openly throughout our school day. It is such a blessing to have a community where faith is woven into our classrooms, our conversations, and the way we care for one another.

Our 7th and 8th grade students spent time away from the classroom for a leadership retreat.
Throughout the retreat, students explored the lives of people in the Bible who encountered Jesus and considered how those encounters transformed who they were and how they lived. Through teachings and small-group discussions, students had the opportunity to ask questions, share their thoughts, and reflect on what it means to personally encounter Christ and allow Him to shape their lives.
The leadership retreat would not be complete without plenty of time to laugh, play, and build community! They participated in team-building challenges, group games, lake time, s’mores, and lots of memories made together. Our students had an incredible time.
We are so thankful for the opportunity to watch these students grow as young men and women who are learning what it means to follow Jesus and lead others well.

Yeehaw, 3rd grade! Welcome to the Wild West! Our 3rd grade classroom is ready for a brand-new year of learning, growing, and adventure. Mrs. Roy has gone above and beyond to create a classroom where her students can feel welcomed, excited, and ready to learn. We are so thankful for our teachers who pour so much thought, creativity, and care into their classrooms. Even more thankful for the love and dedication they pour into their students. Saddle up, 3rd grade! It’s going to be a rootin’ tootin’ great year!

Our K5 students are off to a great start as they learn their letters and the sounds they make! As they worked through their vowels, they practiced the short “u” sound by identifying words like mug, butterfly, and duck, then added their own creativity with a little coloring fun. We love watching these little learners discover that letters and sounds are everywhere!
