The Charleston Christian School

CCS is a ministry of Church Creek Presbyterian and Grace on the Ashley. CCS partners with Christian families and their churches to teach knowledge, wisdom, and values from a Christian perspective. We serve children in grades 4K-8.

Throughout the course of the day, students are encouraged to think, wonder, and reflect. We believe that all truth comes from God, and students here discover God's world and Word. Students are encouraged to think critically and examine ideas in literature, science, and and culture. Is it noble? Is it beautiful? Is it true? As students ponder these questions, teachers point them to the Creator.

Mission: CCS partners with Christian families and their churches to teach knowledge, wisdom, and values from a Christian perspective.

Come shadow our K4 program Monday, February 25 from 9-10 am and find out how phenomenal the class really is. RSVP to [email protected].

Choosing a K4 program for your child can feel like a daunting task with so many options available in the Lowcountry. To help make things easier for you, Charleston Christian School has put together a list of important things to look for in a program!

Our 6th graders are still harvesting items from the garden in February. Can you believe they all tried kale salad the other week? Happy, healthy & having fun!

We are so proud of everyone who participated in the spelling bee today! A big congratulations to one of our 5th-grade participants who made it to the state spelling bee in February. Way to go! This was a great learning experience for all the students and we are looking forward to next year.

Please pray for our students participating in the SCISA Regional Spelling Bee today.

Because of the partial federal government shutdown, Grace on the Ashley will serve hot dogs and hamburgers to U.S. Coast Guard Sector Charleston and their families feeling the financial strains of the Congressional standoff at Magnolia Plantation and Gardens Saturday, February 2.
The church is also collecting diapers, baby formula and gift cards for gas and groceries. Items can be left at Grace on the Ashley, 2014 Bees Ferry Road, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. To make a contribution, call the church at 843-556-6802. Share this post to help get the word out.

Our middle school choir singing some Christmas tunes. These will air during the 5:00 hour on December 6 on Y102.5.

Imagination and creation are key for our 4K class. Today they were practicing songs for the Christmas program and said they needed microphones. They then proceeded to create their own using toys from the classroom and continued to practice. We love our 4K class and their wonderful imaginations.

#GivingTuesday is today! Give the gift of Christian education to someone who cannot afford it. The link to give is in the comments below.

We have so much to be thankful for this year: a new campus, a growing school, excellent teachers, amazing students and so much more. Happy Thanksgiving!

Today, during this beautiful month of November, we are thankful for our safety officers who visit the school every day and help out whenever there is a need. Today they parked in front of the school and patrolled during the election. We are so grateful the City of Charleston Police Department provides this program to keep our schools safe.

The third graders are learning about the different parts that make up a plant. Today each student put their knowledge to good use and presented their own plant creation.

Our Lap-A-Thon was a success! The kids enjoyed it and ran their hardest. Thank you to everyone who participated, donated, volunteered, and prayed.

Kindergarten is still in the lead but you can still donate. The Lap-A-Thon is this Thursday so make sure to get those pledges in as soon as possible!

Forgot to meal plan dinner tonight? Don't like what is planned? Want an excuse not to cook tonight? We have the perfect solution! Join us from 5:00-8:00 pm at Chick-fil-A Savannah Highway for our monthly Spirit Night. Not only will you get great food and have some fantastic fellowship but part of the proceeds will go back to the school. We can't wait to see you there!

Our students learned the importance of being servant-hearted at lunch as Mrs. Jager gave the Lap-A-thon update. In these few days, we have raised over $3,000. Taking the lead is Mrs. Smith's 5K class with 6th grade trailing close behind. There is still plenty of time for more pledges and donations to win the class pizza party. Make sure to support your favorite CCS student or students.

Everyone was excited for the Lap-A-Thon pep rally this past Friday. Who wouldn't be excited, there were Krispy Kreme doughnuts involved! Make sure to find your favorite CCS student and ask them about the Lap-A-Thon and how YOU can get involved and help the school out.

A day off is the perfect time to catch up on that book you forgot you were reading. What books are you or your child reading? What books are on your list to read next?

We loved watching our middle schooler's creativity erupt.

Tuesday's are always a special day because of reading buddies. The older students love getting to spend time with the younger ones sharing and curating a love of reading.

Looking for an easy dinner tonight, a way to support CCS, a wonderful time of fellowship? Join us tonight anytime at Chick-fil-a from 5:00-8:00 on 1656 Savannah Hwy for our spirit night! Make sure to put your receipt in the box at the front counter so we get credit.

We had an excellent first day of school at our new location. Let us know what fun stories your kids have come home with about their first days!

The new front of Charleston Christian School!

Finishing touches are being put on classrooms. Cafeteria tables are being set up. You can feel the excitement in the air. School starts tomorrow!
We are so excited to see everyone at 6:30 pm tonight (8/21) for Parent Night. We will start in the sanctuary and end in classrooms. For convenience please pull around to the very back of Grace on Ashley's campus and park in the back parking lot if able and you will see our new sign! We can't wait for a great new school year.
