Happy Thursday! Let's Welcome Caitlin Bolger to CAP!

My name is Caitlin Bolger and I am a first year graduate student in the EVSS/MPA Concurrent Program. I am originally from Rhode Island, and I graduated in May 2020 from Florida Southern College with a Bachelors of Science in Biology and a minor in Psychology. During my undergraduate career, I became heavily involved in various departments and organizations on campus. I served as the President of our campus programming board, Vice President of Student Activities on SGA, and worked in the Department of Admissions in various capacities. It was through these roles that I realized my passion for service. The EVSS/MPA Concurrent Program perfectly combined my scientific background and passion for service, so I have the opportunity to pursue a career where I can educate the population about the importance of the environment and implement changes that benefit both the environment and the community.

Happy Thursday! Let's welcome Camryn Snell to CAP!

Originally from Columbia, South Carolina, Camryn studied Political Science and Spanish during her undergraduate career at the College of Charleston. In doing so, she realized her passion for Public Policy and International Relations, specifically Immigration and Refugee Policy and social justice. Dr. Judy Millesen worked closely with Camryn throughout her Senior Capstone and introduced her to the Master of Public Administration program at the College and she was immediately interested. She is excited to dive into great work rooted in her passion and in her community! After completing her MPA, Camryn hopes to attend law school and further her experience with social justice work!

We would like to welcome Kip Watson to the CAP team this year!

Kip Watson (CofC ‘11) joins the MPA program one year after moving back to Charleston from Boston, MA. While in Boston Kip had an expansive job experience working as a sailing instructor, equity research assistant, mutual fund client client service consultant, and a fiscal policy analyst. He found his calling working in the State House, for the Executive Office for Administration and Finance, where he worked closely with senior staff managing the budgets of numerous executive agencies. He hopes the MPA program will provide him the tools he needs to be an effective and compassionate purveyor of meaningful change through his work for and with local governments in the future.
